Saw a Facebook post from somebody saying how wonderful this place was, that the owner was a friend, that we should help this local business, and then how delicious the breakfast sandwich was, etc. I looked it up, saw it was just a few blocks from my place - so I went!! Yes, the parking is strange, especially with the current road construction, but we got a spot in front. Nice! I walked in, saw a girl at the counter, and I say that I saw a post about the place, they said it was good, and that I was trying to help local businesses, etc. She just stared. Literally. Just stares. I thought it was a joke, so I laughed and said... well hey there! More staring. I'm at such a loss that I just start looking on the walls for a menu or something. She just stares. More looking for a menu on the walls, and I say, is there like a menu or something? She points to a 8x10 menu on the counter. But the whole thing is so uncomfortable, along with a bearded guy that comes out of the kitchen to stare as well, and so I back up to let my friend order instead. My friend gets coffee and a cream cheese bagel ($13). Me? Well, I decide I can't give this place my business it's so freakin unfriendly, and so I go sit outside. My friend comes out with his togo coffee bagel thing and we leave. He says the same thing, what the hell was that, and we decide not to go back. We live here, go out a lot, and are trying to find out favorite joints. This one ain't it. Unless you enjoy old hole-in-the-wall weirdness and mediocre...

Of course this first presents itself in tasty well made food and coffee. My favorite is the good old fashion basic croissant breakfast sandwich. Just enough food to get your day started and full of flavor. Each bite is worth savoring and I’m one who perhaps eats too fast to enjoy his food. Not here.
But food is just the beginning. The staff is a joy to talk to and genuinely outgoing. Makes me feel like I live here and I don’t. I like that. The individuals of this world are wonderful and that holds true for the staff I’ve met.
Places like this make a community. They are endearing and calming. Plus it’s nice to get away from the typical places in and around the plaza. I feel like this is the real Santa Fe and I very much like meeting this part of the town when visiting.
I’ll be back again and hope it’s here for...
Read moreI'm a local who placed an order for our crew on a slow Thursday. When I placed the order, the person on the phone hung up on me after placing the order. I had to call back to find out the total and when it would be ready. I asked if they needed a name for the order and they said no. My coworker went to pick it up and they asked what the order was. My coworker doesn't know the whole order. That's why I asked if they wanted a name. So there was some confusion picking up the order. I ordered a CREPE with turkey, spinach and bechamel. It had two pieces of deli turkey on it and about 5 leaves of spinach. The bechamel was good. However, in no world would I ever call that a crepe. It was a huge pancake. Very thick. Just a lot of bread and very little inside. I didn't try their bagels. I'm sure they're great. I have no idea how they have such good reviews. They need to seriously work on their customer...
