Awful experience will never patrinize again! I used to eat here often when in the area, this time the chicken that was being used for the dishes was old chicken, not saying the food wasn't " freshly cooked", I'm saying the raw chicken that was made into the cooked dish was spoiling before it was cooked. When chicken is raw and is spoiling a few things start to happen, it gets a slimy texture and begins to get a sour smell. This sour smell is exactly what I experienced except as a subtle flavor covered up by all the salt and seasoning of a Rice Village dish. I took it back, explained that I didn't like the dish and would just like a refund. It was then that every employee came out and told me nothing was wrong and that it was all fresh. I explained that yes it's freshly cooked but the chicken didn't taste right to me and that I would just like a refund ($8). Im guessing it's the owner who finally told me that I can't have my money back and that I can have other dishes to choose from. I explained again that I'm no longer comfortable eating there and I would just like my $8.00. She said nope all she'll give me back is $2 because I had ate "some" already and she'll call mall security. I laughed and said you can keep the $8 and you now lost a customer (will tell family and friends not to patronize) for life over $8. Sad thing is I would have gone back another day and given it a try again even after the funky chicken taste (not the name of the dish btw) experience, if they had refunded the money, or given a gift card or something other than offer only $2 say I'm crazy and treat...
Read moreI usually use any trip to the mall as an excuse to eat here, because they are quick and eager to wave a free sample of teriyaki chicken under your nose and I like the noodles. It’s exactly what I want out of a mall Chinese place—hot, salty, standard and affordable. Unlike the chain panda place, this one’s locally owned. Today when I went was special, though. It was about an hour before close and they were out of my favorite noodles, which was abt to be a bit of a bummer but totally understandable. I asked the chef if there were more in the back or something and he made a whole new batch fresh for me! These noodles are delicious af, today was the best I’ve ever had. Thanks Rice Village for taking care of me, y’all are great and I hope everyone goes and sells you out of noodles and rice and everything...
Read moreWe have had Asian food all over the nation during our travels. Not all restaurants serve great food, I’m an honest person. However, if I could give a negative number rating, I would. A negative twenty is more suitable. The food was inedible, no flavor, it was bland, the syrup was falling off the chicken, the chicken itself was not properly breaded. Grocery store freezer aisle is a better experience. And the rice, was the only serviceable part and the fried rice was not tasty compared to the white. Try some of the other food court options, or even the theater concession. We think we got mild...
