TL;DR: Slow service, poor communication, and disappointing handling of a simple breakfast order. Food was decent, but the experience was frustrating and left a bad impression. Would not recommend.

We were visiting from Denver and like to find unique, local coffee spots when traveling. The Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Café looked like a fun, creative place with great reviews, so we decided to stop in for breakfast and coffee.
When we arrived, there was only one customer inside, so we expected a quick turnaround for our order. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After ordering, we waited about 35 minutes with no food, while several customers who came in after us received their meals first. At one point, they even gave one of our breakfast sandwiches to another customer.
When I went to the counter to check on the order, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay, even though my pregnant wife had been waiting quite a while. To make matters worse, the barista said they had forgotten to ring up one of the sandwiches and told me I needed to pay for it before they could finish our order. At that point, we were hungry enough to just pay and move on, but the lack of care and communication was really disappointing.
On the plus side, the croissant egg and cheese sandwiches were good, though by then the experience had soured our appetite. Also, note that they use artificial syrups for their flavored coffees (just something to keep in mind if you prefer natural syrups).
Overall, the vibe and name are great, but the service and organization need serious improvement. Sadly, we wouldn’t...
Read moreI recently visited Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Cafe in Santa Fe and had a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness.
I ordered a decaf almond latte, which was perfectly crafted and comforting—a great choice for a relaxed afternoon. In addition, I picked up a delicious chocolate scone to go, and it was every bit as scrumptious as it sounded.
The cafe’s charm lies not only in its tasty offerings but also in its unique ambiance. Housed in a classic Santa Fe building, the space features ample indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot whether you’re looking to settle in for a cozy break or enjoy some fresh air. They even roast and grind their own coffee, ensuring every cup is full of character and quality.
With complimentary WiFi, an array of baked goods, light sandwiches, and an overall friendly staff, I predict that Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Cafe will quickly become a favorite spots in Santa Fe. I highly recommend stopping by to experience the delightful food, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service...
Read moreAmazing Croissants and good breakfast sandwich! Gentlemen at the front seemed to be having a bad day. The moment I walked in and asked ‘hi how are you?’ he looked at me in the face and said nothing. It was awkward…Didn’t make eye contact the entire time I ordered and was snippy when I politely asked for help with the WiFi. He didn’t bother to help just told me where it was written. I told him I tried was was having issues and just he walked away. I went to do some remote work and he was just wailing loudly to the song in the small space. Honestly so sick of people who are able to be rude to customers whose values are in treating employee with absolutely kindness and respect. Regret tipping that man. The other gentleman working was courteous and grateful for that. Unfortunately too uncomfortable of an...
