Had dinner last night 08/31/24 here at BJ'S and have to add was the worst BJ experience I have had and paying for it. IT being 9:30 Saturday night in Santa Rosa not much to choose from other than fast food or BJ'S the 3 of us made a grown up ddecision and chose the Restaurant to have a drink and dinner. Ladies first my date ordered the Avocado wrap I believe it was doesn't matter they were out of them so she ordered the Salmon blackened over oven roasted which I had as well our guest ordered the Shrimp Scampi with a side bread stick . The place was packed Bar and Restaurant dining area so our waitress offered to bring us waters first because the drink order would be a wait. one (1) bartender on shift if you've ever been to this place it's a large Restaurant that easily could have 4 bartenders and not handle the amount of customers there. Our waters arrived about 5 minutes ahead of the cocktails that took about 30 minute's you might have an idea where this dinner date is heading. After another 15 or 20 minutes I was served my dinner I guess because I was on the inside seat of the booth whoever served my plate not our waitress left the table I assumed to bring the rest of our order out for my guest I decided not to be rude and start eating before they were served their plates. Bad choice by me because they didn't get their food for another 40 minutes my date and I ordered the exact same dinner. I was able to flag down our waitress to get 2 more drinks for my friends I was driving only 1 for me before they received plates I asked our waitress why we all didn't get our meals at the same time she replied she didn't know why, of course by now my dinner is cold and theirs piping hot, the side bread stick arrived after my friend finished his meal. One bread stick at this point I figured he would have at least a couple extra complimentary bread sticks for all our troubles. Our waitress magically appeared and asked how everything was going I lied and said fine because we obviously were on different planes if she didn't know how it was going. Both of our blackened salmon meals looked like the oven roasted to both of us I saw nothing blackened. I asked for a to go box so I could warm mine up to finally eat at home. At a $200.00 tag we decided instead of the name BJ'S you don't get here it should be called SCREWED that you will get here, abstinence is my thing for a while from there for me hopefully your experience is/was better than ours that night. I'll add i have eaten here quite a few times pre Covid the food is just OK on any given day, but service is usually alright. This was the worst overall restaurant experience I've had anywhere. I know I wrote a book explaining, but it was just a nightmare. I left the waitress a 18 percent tip it was their lowest amount offered on the receipt. I wouldn't feel right leaving what was really the amount deserved for overall service. Whatever the problem, she is just trying to make a living. I'm sure at some point I will eat there again just talking this recent experience because it wasn't pleasant I know ratings are everything to a business and BJ'S I'm sorry to have to drag down your rating with one star and will change that whenever i go back there and you show me I should. But for now my 1 star I gave for last night you deserved I didn't give your business a bad experience and wasn't looking for one, hopefully for you this means something and you try to repair it I noticed the table that was next to ours wasn't...
Read morePulling up I had a bad feeling based on the burnt out letters in the restaurant sign. If they don't care about something as basic & important as their name being fully illuminated, they probably don't care about much. He teased me for being petty and insisted it was a good place so I proceeded against my better judgement. The hostess sat us at a dirty booth even though the majority of the tables were open. She said shed be back to wipe it down but instead went back to the front and pulled out her phone. We cleaned it somewhat until our server came to help us by wiping the debris off the table onto the booth seats. I was ready to leave after that but my bf wanted steak so i kept it simple with a chicken Cesar salad. Typically a safe choice. The food arrived quickly which was appreciated but the salad was disgusting... I kept picking out pieces of really dark brown lettuce. Probably the most off romaine Id ever seen served by mistake anywhere. Clearly zero quality control or pride in the food. I spent my time separating brown & black from green bites as my bf enjoyed his steak. There was a big clump of dressing in the middle, the salad wasn't tossed. It was so unappetizing that i couldn't eat more than a bite. I brought it to the attention of the manager who told me that the lettuce was coming from a new supplier and they were not happy with the quality and the cooks would overlook the fact that there were rotten pieces mixed in with good pieces. She offered me a new salad but why would I accept it knowing that her kitchen crew could not be trusted to decipher between food that was edible versus off. She offered to make me the salad personally. I felt badly for her because it was clear that her crew likely didn't have much respect for her based on the food they were putting out. It was like no one cared about standards. Yes, my BF enjoyed his steak but he did 13 years in prison so his pallet is a little underdeveloped. I will say that its nice looking inside and the booth was comfortable aside from being unclean. It just felt as though the place was being neglected. Which brought me back to the burnt out bulbs in the sign out front. It represented my whole experience. A restaurant that takes no pride in itself. I will never be back to that or any other BJ's now that I know what caliber of...
Read moreThe food here is below mid. No actually it’s pretty bad. If I had to rate it overall I’d say 2/10. The chicken parm pasta was extremely dry. Like there was more of an idea of sauce being present than actual sauce on your plate. The only thing that’s drier is Shera Seven in a room full of broke men. I’m not kidding do not get it. The house salad tasted like dirty unwashed produce and again a severe lack of dressing. Yall being stingy with the sauces around here or something? I took maybe two bites and said no. It tasted bitter and like actually dirt. And I love me a good salad. There was no crunch, no even distribution of toppings, and it was super dry. I also got the bobalicious mango non alcoholic drink and It was ok. It was the best thing I’d ordered and I’d rate it a 4/10. The spinach and artichokes dip was originally served to me cold and I asked them to make it fresh but I could tell they just put it in the microwave and brought back the exact same plate. The spinach dip was better than the chicken but not by much I’d give it a 3/10. The chips were not fresh and not salty. The dip lacked seasoning, creaminess, and enough cheese and overall it was a real disappointment. The servers were kind enough but not attentive at all. They did not offer to refill drinks. There was still covered plates on the table 30-40 minutes past when everyone had finished eating and were waiting on dessert and at least two bus boys and three waiters passed by without ever offering to clear the tables (actually now that I think about nobody ever offered to take a dirty plate off the table we had to ask them each time to remove a plate). The restaurant had really excellent A/C to the point of it being cold so bring a sweater. I’m still waiting on my pizookie (it’s been 30 minutes past me ordering it) but honestly I’m so disappointed by the food I’ve already had that I really don’t care at this point. If you’re thinking oh I’m staying in a hotel and this place is nearby go somewhere else. I’m telling you for your own good. You won’t be pleased with your experience here. I for sure was not. And the people I came with shared...
