DENNYS IS LIT. the staff definitely all smoke cigarettes and you could tell that everyone in there besides me was a regular to the establishment because the staff knew everyone by name. The food was amazing (I've never been to a denny's as I used to consider myself and IHOP man before tonight). They were "out" of a few things, this seemed to be an obvious hint that the staff simply didnt want to make the requested item (a smoothie) but that's alright. My body fat percentage was happy enough to go without the additional calories and I happily made out alright with a simple ice water. I got the hazelnut crepes and it was no surprise to anyone that the hazelnut was just nutella (that's alright tho, I loved it). Basically, my takeaway here is that this place is exactly what you would expect, a fairly low budget seat-in, breakfast and pancake place where the staff is friendly enough, the atmosphere warm enough and the food, good enough. Theres little to no surprises when eating here when you keep in mind that the staff are people too who are just trying to make a living, just are you are trying to continue living (by eating)(

I have a family member who loves this place. But tonight was about my limit. We are sitting there waiting for our food and in walks to his guy AND his dog. Not a service dog, This guys pet. A larger sized mixed breed dog that really needed a bath.. I'm sorry but no that is not cool. I waited for someone who works there to ask him to please tie the dog outside to a tree it's not like there's not a lot of space to do this. But no the guy gets seated in the big part of the dining room with the dog. I don't think that this is sanitary. I'm sure the health Dept frowns on dogs in eating establishments. Jeez, I go out and expect the place I'm eating at to be clean, have good food and to be free of animals. Especially dogs that aren't that clean. The fact that the dog was allowed in at all makes me kinda ill feeling. The place is already doesn't look clean. I think that's because it is so time worn. It needs updating desperately.
10/24/17 It was clean as far as I could tell but it just feels like it's been neglected by Denny's corporate. Too bad. It's in such a great location and if it was updated I'm sure it would be a great place to eat. As it is now, I got...
Read moreUsually only come here late at night once most restaurants are closed. Usually past 10:30 as it's the only thing open that isn't Jack in the box or In-N-Out and the last two times we've come here. They've only had one waitress and Cook in the back. So what should take about 5-10 minutes to get our order placed is a 35-minute ordeal as one person has to run the food and host and take orders. Plus they have doordash at night which backs the kitchen up even more for people inside the restaurant would really recommend turn off doordash when there is only one person working as obviously they can't handle the volume. Also the waitress was super nice. Unfortunately just being by herself she wasn't able to properly take our order and had to come back two or three times to ask us what we ordered again and because they're so short-staffed they can't make half the items on the menu just because of time constraint. Mostly the shakes and any of the desserts. Plus the computer kept on shutting down so she had to write everything by hand and then hope the machine was going to work to ring up. Definitely need to hire more people from the 11 onward schedule as one person is not...
