We heard about this place, so we finally decided to visit one evening for an early dinner. We parked in the Whole Foods garage as there’s little parking on street. When we arrived, there were no tables available, and we decided to sit at the bar. But the barstools were uncomfortable so we retreated to one of the old couches to wait for a table to become available. Overall the decor is street taco festive and we could easily have a conversation. There’s several areas with large couches and chairs. The restaurant floor is concrete. Looks it seats about 50 people overall. This is a casual taco bar where you’d come to eat not dine. The bar is situated at one end of the restaurant and has about 10 low back stools. I found the stools very uncomfortable, but that could just be me. The menu has an interesting mix of tacos all for about five dollars each. There was a good selection of bourbon and tequila drinks on the menu. There was also good selection of bourbon and whiskeys that you could buy neat. We opted for the smoked old-fashioned and the bourbon margarita. The Old fashioned came out with no smoke. In questioning the waitress she said removed the top at the bar and all the smoke disappeared before it got to the table. At $14 I would have expected it to be delivered to the table under smoke. The bourbon margarita comes with salt on the rim, which I think takes away from the taste. Overall I thought the cocktails were overpriced for what you got. We started our dinner with a queso dip and chips. The queso had birria added which gave it a nice flavor. For tacos we ordered the Thai shrimp, Mongolian beef, and Cubano. All had a good flavor. We expected the protein to be a bit warmer but they must make it in advance and assemble as ordered. Some of the other tacos on the menu also looked very interesting and they would’ve been equally as good. They do have a taco tray with two tacos and some chips which looked like a good deal. Service was attentive but not over bearing. We’d come back for the tacos but not the drinks.

Up by Sarasota today and searched google for food spots near me! I chose this spot based on customer reviews and the photos! Arrived around 3:30 and the place was virtually empty. The ambiance and decor of this place is so upbeat and happy!! We tried the queso fondido for an appetizer and loved it so much we ordered another one!! Our server Megan suggested some popular tacos; I went with the Cubano and Mongolian beef taco! I really love the cubano the pork was seasoned so good it was nice and moist, the saltiness of the ham with the crunchy tanginess from the pickle smacked!!! Mongolian beef was so interesting the most unique taco I’ve had! I really enjoyed all the flavors!! He got the southwest bowl which had everything you could want! It went so good with the queso fondido!! I tried a beer which I don’t normally go for beer I choose margaritas. Really impressed with the big top hazy that Megan recommended!! Delicious flavor nice and hoppy with a slight fruitiness to it!! We had such a wonderful time! Price point was really good for the quality!!

UPDATE: The owner invited my partner Kyle and I back and we had a muuuch better experience tonight. We were met with great service and a satisfying meal. I recommend the street corn, the classic margarita, the queso, and the nashville hot tacos, they are all delicious! Morgan, the owner is really kind. I still feel the salad and the bowls could be bigger for the price. Other than that, I'd definitely go back. Original review: Huh, I think this place is better suited for college kids. The chips were extremely greasy and came out in a greasy bag, had to go personally get the waiter twice so the service needs a lot more organization, the margarita came out late without the right salt, the bowls were teeny tiny, for $10 a pop I'd expect more. Will try a different Mexican spot next time.

Pros: -variety of seating! They had couches and chairs and a little corner booth that was so cute -variety of tacos was amazing. They had vegetarian options too -bathroom was immaculate and still cozy?? -pinball machine 💫 -lighting made the place eclectic and chill -great cocktails and standard Mexican lagers on draft -just a cool little spot in general Things to note: -remember, this is a taco place. No burritos. They do have one Mexican bowl and a salad and a few sides. But their specialty is tacos Highly recommend: -queso and salsa. We ate it so quickly -the chicken biscuit taco, which isn’t a taco but indeed a biscuit, just like it says. -angus beef taco

Tonight was my first time here. Me and a friend wanted to try their Taco Tuesday special, and they did not disappoint. There is a wonderful atmosphere, and the cutest decor. It was busy, but we were promptly met by our server, Johnny, who went above and beyond to service us. He gave us menu suggestions, and had a fun enthusiastic personality. Johnny made our experience, 10 times better. The food was great, and the $15 jug any margarita is an amazing deal! I highly recommend the Thai Shrimp Taco and the pear margarita! I also recommend asking if Johnny is available, as you’ll get the best service. We will definitely be back!!

A great place that is going to change your thinking about tacos. They elevate each taco to a delicious treat. The ahi tuna is fresh and flavorful, the fish and chips were great with out being overly fried, it was just a perfect combo of potatoes and fish. And the weekly taco was the voodoo chicken. Spicy with out being hot. Try it if it's on the menu as a weekly special when you come it's worth it! And to have a little spicy taco try the Korean beef. The peppers were cut so as to give flavor without being too large of pieces. The beef melted in my mouth, flavors were a great mix without being too much. Highly recommend.
