The BEST LOCAL COFFEEHOUSE IN DOWNTOWN SAVANNAH! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and relaxing. When I need the bang in my coffee, Franklin's never lets me down. The coffee has so much favor and is bold and rich. Get your favorite beverage made your way and cheaper than Starbucks. Yep, I said STARBUCKS.The baristas are impressive and attentive. A couple of them are veterans of the star place. My favorite beverage is the 20 oz. Caramel Macchiato with half n half (it's free). Now, let's talk about those EVIL cookies. Get the RED VELVET or SALT CARAMEL cookie, especially when they are freshly displayed. They are BIG as a tire. I'm exaggerating but you get the picture. I love to heat them up in the microwave (10-15 seconds) or toast oven (375° for 2-3 minutes wrapped in foil). NOPE, I don't share my cookie(s) with anyone, period. So, if you are a tourist or a local looking for a great coffee experience in Downtown Savannah, head over to Franklin's. Don't walk slow, either. It's a small quaint spot that gets crowded, quickly. Online ordering is available, most times. A bourgeois/bougie restaurant is connected to the coffeehouse. Personally, I haven't eaten there. I just think there are less pricer options in Downtown Savannah, but don't let my opinion stop you from venturing over there. Give it a try then write a Google...

Building is cute and decorated to look very upscale, which means a hefty price tag on the menu. (I almost walked out the first time because of that, I felt out of place like those ultra posh French cafes that you can’t afford to stand in and the staff look at you like “are you sure you’re in the right place?” and a single macaron costs you your first born) However, I’m willing to pay if the quality is good.
I’ve been meaning to eat here as the menu looks tasty but haven’t had the time as yet so for now it’s just the Chai and visuals/feel I’m basing my review. I must say that the pastry case is a little unappealing as everything looks as though it’s been sitting there since opening which is a no from me. Especially when your paying top dollar. Disappointed about that as I originally popped in for my tea and something sweet, the options were limited and just looked stale. While the shop itself is lovely, though posh, it’s a little of a turn off as it seems a little too clinical. Could do with a warmer, cozier feel so you didn’t feel...
