I visited this store during the July 4th holiday week. I selected a few books from the clearance section. Because I'd used all of my cash, I could only use card. When I went to check out, I inquired about the minimum payment for cards. I understand that businesses lose money when a card is used, but this is the only payment method I had at the time. The employee was extremely rude. He stated that the store was already losing money on the clearance section and using my card would only make them lose more money. "Just take them". I guess giving away books is better than making any money at all. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store. My partner was off looking at other books and given the cramped nature of the store, I could not find him. I could understand stating a minimum card payment. Read moreI realize we are in a pandemic, and I don’t have a problem waiting, however we stood outside (in the cold) When we were at the front of the line, three people existed, the man said only one of us could enter, having stood there for over 45 minutes we knew there were 5 people inside one being a young child, therefore when that family left there were 2 inside, however he decided that instead of allowing 4 inside he would change it to 3 and inside of even asking if we minded he had a young man enter telling us that the wait would be less than 20 minutes. The hip young gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant and Extremely knowledgeable, and Extremely helpful. On several occasions during our visit to Savannah, my girlfriend and I got lost browsing the stacks of books. And it’s an excellent use of time because you never know what you might find. I ended up purchasing a few classic Hardy Boys books for the youngest members of our family and a collection of short stories by Flannery O’Connor.
