BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY, POORLY MANAGED 513 Liberty Main+Garden (Carriage Home included)
Love the location of the property, within walking distance to the City Market and several other tourists attractions. However the property is poorly managed and unkempt. They need to hire a cleaning service, rather than have their own staff care for the cleanliness of the property. Very filthy and very disappointing! (Please note that construction is being done in the area. Two homes down, they’re remodeling the townhouse and the area behind this property is an eyesore). The main and garden house were all filthy on our arrival, and we arrived 37 minutes post the 4pm checkin. They did continue cleaning the house on arrival, allowing us to check in after 7pm...3hours past the stated checkin time.
Main House: On arrival, one member of Lucky Savannah staff was attempting to clean the Main House with dishwashing liquid! There were several piles of dirt and dust spread out all over the floor. Food and dirty dishes in the sink and on the counters. Dirty dishes placed in the cabinets. One glass, from the cabinet, had beige lipstick on it and several other dirty dishes were placed in the cabinets. The beds had been made, however when pulling the sheets back, grass and long dark stringy hair was found within. The dryer is broken, and does not dry your clothes. The showers had hair in them, both the main and secondary bedrooms. The television is broken in the secondary bedroom, half of the screen is distorted. The main bedroom gets no TV channels and Lucky Savannahs’ Netflix account information is out of date. The glass on top of the dresser in the main bedroom is broken, and we also found glow sticks from the previous guest bachelor party on our bedroom lamp(we had been informed of the bachelor party by the Lucky Savannah cleaning staff) Even after the staff had spent an extra 3 hours cleaning, the floors were still covered in dirt, leaving our socks and cleaning wipes, completely black with filth. Garden Home: Dirty, dirty, dirty! On arrival vomit was on the countertops, and the bed linen was disgusting, same as with the main house. We were also awoken to a large roach crawling on our bed. Even after they spent the extra time cleaning the property, it was still filthy and we had to take out time, and re-clean with the proper cleaning products, such as bleach. Very nasty and very disappointing. The garden area is unkempt. The stairs leading to the garden area were nasty and covered in some kind of sticky substance. The garden was full of tall grass, weeds, and dead flowers, again poorly kept. There is no key fab for the garages, making it difficult to enter and exit them. *Please note they did reimburse the cleaning fee and half a night. However this does not excuse the dirtiness of the property. We will not be guest of Lucky Savannah Rentals again. We do have pictures of all...
Read moreBooked a last minute Anniversary trip to tour Savannah, GA for my first time. The online process was smooth and informative. My questions responded to quickly and texted information smoothly. The check-in and out process as expected and everything was as marketed. Always read Reviews and they all were a good barometer of my expectations. We stayed at a home right across from Forsyth Park on the third floor and had such a good time. The steps are steep as described but that was all good because we got our exercise in. Just be careful with heavy or bulky luggage if applicable. Our center unit was perfect and having the red door so cute and easy to locate. I loved the charm of the home with the style of that era and the solid wood floors and decor. The unit was just enough and all we needed as we spent more time touring the area anyway. I do recommend and did what I saw on a prior review, facing the home and having Forsythe Park to your back, park on the right side of the home. Pay attention to the parking signs which worked out as we came Thurs-Sat. after the parking restriction. Just a block down, right after walking out the front door, look up info on the free CAT bus system. A/C and comfortable to get around town through. So take advantage of the free CAT bus and don't drive everywhere all the time. I did bring my own pillow and favorite blanket. Yes, I can confirm, the bed while huge size for two even three, it is a FIRM mattress. My husband loved it. I am more of a softer level and a heavy weighted blanket kind of gal, so I was prepared. I did read to bring extra t.p., coffee and personal preferences desired. I forgot sugar so maybe that will help someone else. There was ample towels, I saw an ironing board and iron in the closet and my husband did have to run a quick dry on his shoes when we got caught in a slight rain storm. If you do take a little break from touring and watch TV,..point the remote at the TV and slightly point it downward at an angle. That seemed to work the entire stay. The home on Whitaker was just perfect because you get the convenience of the park across the street and more of a neighborhood feel and less touristy feel...but your minutes away from all the popular sites,...yes, there was a bit of traffic noise but think of it as "white noise". We arrived on a Thurs. and it was as expected w/a popular Victorian side of town..all good for the location. We will remember the location, home and service through Lucky Savannah. Good Job to all!! Thank you for your service, Professionalism and opportunity to stay & tour...
Read moreUPDATE: The company did quickly contact us about our review and seemed truly upset. However, they promised to refund money and offered a discount on our next stay. It's been 4 weeks now and there has been no refund issued. Unfortunately, I guess Lucky Savannah really wasn't lucky for us. TOILET WATER or some unknown liquid was dripping from upstairs leaking down into our unit. We stayed at Lucky Savannah's Gimme Liberty for 5 days in June. We were on the second floor of a three story building. At first glance, we were very happy with the accommodations. It's an old building and there were some cracks in the walls and ceilings. The space was clean and had everything we needed. On the third day of our stay, we woke up to water (or who knows what else) on our toilet lid, garbage can and bathroom floor. Upon further inspection, we discovered that the water was coming from the crack in the ceiling. Something above us was leaking. We reported it to maintenance. We were told they were sending someone out to fix it. When we returned that evening, there was even more water on everything. We had not been informed of any problems by the rental company, so we expected to return to a useable restroom. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Once again we called to see what was going on. We were told that they sent someone out to look at it, but the plumber couldn't get there until Sunday. They would not tell us where the water was coming from, so we didn't know if it was toilet water from the upstairs tenants or what. They brought over a spray bottle of bleach and a roll of paper towels at 10:30 that night. It was all over the floor, so even to brush your teeth, you would have to step in this unsanitary liquid. During these times of Covid , you would have thought at least they would cap off the water from upstairs, but that wasn't the case. For 3 days no one called to check on us or offered us anything except a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle of bleach. Be warned, if anything goes wrong, you are just out of luck. This is taken directly from their website, "The health and safety of our owners, guests and staff is of utmost importance to us. We are taking extra precautions and steps to ensure that all professional housekeeping and interior property sanitation needs are not only being met, but exceeded, to ensure a hygienic environment." I am truly sick to my stomach thinking about what we...
