I have never written a review this quickly, but let me tell you, the food at this place left me absolutely speechless. You wouldn't believe it, but we're talking about burgers, hotdogs, and chicken sandwichesâyour typical casual fare. But let me tell you, this was anything but ordinary.
My friend and I swung by around 8:30 PM, just half an hour before closing time. Despite the late hour, they welcomed us with open arms and served us with no rush whatsoever. I ended up ordering three burgers and a hotdogâa total departure from my usual basic orders. I figured, why not go all out for the content?
The moment our food arrived, the table fell silent. You know what they sayâif the table's quiet, the food's good. And let me tell you, the silence spoke volumes. We started with the friesâseasoned to perfection, cooked just right, and the ideal crispy-but-not-too-crispy texture. They were the perfect accompaniment to the burgers and hotdogs we had lined up.
Speaking of which, let's talk about those burgers. I went for THE JERK STORE, a Caribbean jerk chicken burger with pepper Jack cheese, peperoncini mayo, and grilled pineapple. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about the pineapple, but I decided to give it a shot. And let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The burst of flavors was unreal, and I devoured it in record time.
Next up was THE BOARDWALK, your classic beef patty with all the fixings. It was delicious, no doubt about it, but nothing compared to THE JERK STORE. And let's not forget the hotdogâI ordered the TOBACCO ROAD, slaw, chili, cheddar cheese, onion, and mustard. Now, I'm not usually a fan of coleslaw, but this was on a whole other level. I was literally picking up the droplets of slaw that fell off my hotdogâit was that good.
But what really stood out to me was the service. I called ahead to ask about dietary restrictions, and they couldn't have been nicer. They even helped me pick out which burger to try! And don't even get me started on the pricesâsuper affordable, which only made me want to order more.
To top it all off, they gave us popsicles at the end of our mealâtalk about a sweet surprise! And let me tell you, that popsicle was something else. It didn't drip, it didn't melt, and it had a whole Oreo inside! Pure genius.
All in all, this place is a gem. It's going to be my go-to spot for casual takeout, dinner with friends, you name it. Chill vibes, amazing food, and friendly serviceâwhat more could you ask for? Can't wait to go back.

Read moreThe place was pretty cool. The food does take awhile to get to you so patience is required and while your waiting try and remember that this isnât fast food itâs crafted food. My beautiful wife and I thought that we would give this place a try and with very little exception we werenât disappointed. The food we received was delicious and was every bit as tasty as it looked and as far as the taste it was well worth the wait. The receptionist/cashier/ waitress was very polite and professional.
Going in, just so you know, each order is one slider. I have gotten sliders (plural) at other places and well the order wasnât for slider (singular) it was for two or three sliders so I was surprised to get one slider. The funny thing is I got an order of one slider(s) and one order of a hotdog version of slider(s) thinking that I would eat half of the total order and have the rest for work. As you can imagine I ate my whole order, one small burger and one small hotdog. I tell you this so you wonât be as surprised as I was. Everything you see on the table came out to be $26 and some change. A bit pricey for 4 sliders, basket of fries, a beer and a sprite, but I have to admit it was tasty.
The only major concern I have was when I was taking my normal pics for these reviews I noticed that nearly every air conditioning vent in the place had a ridiculous amount of mold hanging from It. Itâs pretty bad see last picture.
As a side note, the bathroom...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Sly's Sliders and Fries in Savannah, Georgia, one fine mid-afternoon around 3 p.m. After wrapping up a work call, I had a craving for a good burger and decided to check out one of the highest-rated burger places in the area, which happened to be just a couple of blocks away from my location.
Finding free street parking within a block of the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Sly's Sliders and Fries is located in a charming space nestled within a mixed-use neighborhood, blending businesses with residential areas. I've always appreciated such mixed neighborhoods, and being in Old Town Savannah only added to the charm.
Upon entering the cute and clean little storefront, I placed my order for two burger sliders and a Reuben slider. To say that they were near perfection would be an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors, and they truly hit the spot. I chose to sit outside at one of the sidewalk tables, and it was a delightful experience. The street wasn't overly busy, and I had the pleasure of admiring the stunning, grand Southern Georgian mansion-style residences across from me.
Sly's Sliders and Fries offered not just a really good burger but also a lovely atmosphere, blending the character of Savannah's Old Town with the satisfaction of a delicious meal. I'm now eagerly looking forward to exploring more of Savannah's burger scene, but Sly's has set the bar quite high. Highly...
