Had a great meal at Vici Rooftop! Had been jonesing for “Savannah’s favorite” Maine lobster roll, and it did not disappoint. Came with a side Caesar salad, which was the best I’ve ever had. Vici has an extensive cocktail list which looked amazing. It was hard to pick just one. I decided on the Savannah Sour, and it was so good that I had two. Wanted three but decided to stop at two. Anthony, owner, and Raf were behind the bar and are pictured below. Raf made me the Savannah Sours which were amazing! Definitely will be back to try some of their other cocktails, starters and entrees like the Calabrian Shrimp and Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus appetizers as well as their salmon and pasta dishes. Although it was a typical Savannah hot and sticky summer night, Vici had fans which kept it surprisingly very cool at the bar. Vici Rooftop is a must-try! Highly recommend!

A Great Dining Experience! Keeping Them On Our List! We travel to Savannah once or twice a year. This trip we tried a new (to us) restaurant, Vici Rooftop. They did not disappoint! Walking up the stairs reveals a hostess podium, large classy bar, modern table setups, and open air views. The Bar and parts of the rooftop are covered for inclement weather; no trepidation required. Our cocktails had perfect flavor balances; Elderflower Sour, and Passion Project. Our appetizers, Harvest Costini Bites and Diablo Shrimp, were awesome! We shared our scallop & shrimp pasta, and salmon. One of the salmon sides was a thyme scallop potato stack and it was fantastic! We rarely comment on sides, but it was exceptional. If you are looking for a great restaurant off the well worn riverwalk path, try Vici Rooftop!

We had reservations for 5:30 for pre-dinner cocktails. The server was amazing, dried off a table and chairs from a torrential downpour which had happened right before we arrived. The drinks were amazing, easily rivaling Arco or Rhett in their quality and creativity. The view and atmosphere is great although it's not very high compared to some other rooftop bars. In the picture is Vaquero (left) and Dear Old Friend (right) and both were delicious and creative. The Espresso Martini is also spot on. 5 star rating in food is for the cocktails. Side note: the entrance is a little hard to find. It's not through the doors with the Vici logo, it's through the outdoor metal gate next to those doors and up the stairs. It is well worth a visit!

I have never in my life experienced such an absolute disaster of a dining experience. If this place has a 4+ star rating, I can only assume it’s either heavily padded or the kitchen is capable of miracles on some nights. But if one night can be this bad, how good can it really be?

Let’s start with the most egregious offense: the gall of this place to demand $80 per person two weeks after reservations were made, without any prior notice. A sneaky cash grab conveniently revealed just three days before Valentine’s Day—by which point, of course, it was impossible to secure a decent alternative. We were already committed, so paid and hoped for the best.

Little did we know, that was only the first of many, many missteps.

We arrived dressed for what should have been a special evening, hopes high but very quickly dashed. The timeline speaks for itself:

6:00 PM: Arrived. Fourth party in an almost empty restaurant. 6:15 PM: Water. (Groundbreaking.) 6:20 PM: Drink orders placed. 7:00 PM: Drinks finally arrived. One hour. For a cocktail. 7:30 PM: First course. Hunger setting in. 8:20 PM: Second course. Hopes of an enjoyable evening officially dead. 8:45 PM: Dessert, which at that point felt like a final insult rather than a treat. Nearly two hours with nothing but a single glass of water and one drink. And speaking of water—six separate times we were assured our glasses would be refilled. Six. Every single time, we waited, expected someone to actually follow through, and yet our glasses remained bone dry. By the time we left, we were still sitting with empty glasses. It was almost comical—except it wasn’t, because we had just paid a ridiculous amount of money for a supposed "romantic" date night.

Now, onto the complete and utter managerial failure. This restaurant was either criminally understaffed or run by people who couldn't empty a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. There was one waitress handling the entire restaurant—one. She was overworked to the point of tears, and we felt terrible for her. The “management” (presumably, we have no idea) swooped in at some point, not to help, but to further derail the entire evening by misdirecting orders and sending cold food back out after it had been rejected by other tables.

Speaking of other tables, we were far from the only ones outraged. Nearly half the restaurant complained—loudly. Requests for refunds were met with “Take it up with wherever you purchased tickets.”... That would be your resturant my guy. One unfortunate couple next to us sat for over two hours without receiving a single dish (or drink) before they finally cut their losses and walked out, kissing their $200 reservation fee goodbye.

The cherry on top? After this miserable slog of a service, two of our drinks were comped (after we asked) as some attempt at damage control. Yet, when the charge hit my account, it was more than what was on the receipt + tip. A simple mistake, or just another sleazy move from a place that clearly has no issue misleading its customers? Who knows.

To be fair, the food—when it finally arrived—was good. But “good” is not worth a three-hour wait, a prepaid scam, and the worst-managed service I have ever witnessed. You can find equally good (or better) food at dozens of other restaurants, without having to suffer through a hostage situation disguised as fine dining.

Under absolutely no circumstances will I ever return. And if you value your time, money, or sanity, I suggest you...

One of the absolute worst experiences I have ever had. My boyfriend got us reservations for Valentine’s Day that he had to prepay $200 for. We showed up our reservation at 7 and there was maybe four other tables. We got our water fairly quickly and then everything went downhill. We ordered our drinks and then waited around 40 minutes before we were brought the wrong drinks they took them back and again brought the wrong drinks. When we finally got the drinks we had ordered we had been sitting an hour. We finally got our appetizer after we had been sitting near an hour and a half. Then we waited almost another hour before our main course came out and we were again given the wrong food. Then my boyfriends was seriously undercooked. All this time we’ve been waiting for our second round of drinks to come out. We waited so long we went to the bar to just get our own. When those drinks came out again, wrong drinks. The table next to us told the girl just to give it to them because they had been waiting for over an hour for a drink. The tables all around us were complaining. No one had gotten their food and when they did it was cold or wrong. We watched at least three other tables walk out. People demand refunds and be told they needed to write an email but no email was given. We were there almost three hours it was almost comical how absolutely disastrous this experience was. This experience would have dropped the jaw of Robert Irvine (restaurant impossible). And management should be absolutely ashamed. They had everyone pre booked so they know how many people are coming then only have one waitress on staff. When everything was going down they just watched or would try to bring out food and drinks to all the wrong tables. It’s safe to say we will not be returning and if you’re planning an event or date night here make sure the rest of your nights free and you pack some snacks cause you’re...

When my group first arrived, the first thing we were disappointed by was the appearance. No clear sign, no host stand, and it was very small. The photos were deceitful. We had a group of 7, and there was only one other table filled in the entire restaurant. Took over 30 minutes to get our drinks (3 beers and 4 cocktails). In the entire two hours we were there we saw our server twice. We then are getting our food, two plates are cold, and one is completely forgotten. Was confused what was going on so I checked around to see if there was someone to talk to just to see our server behind the bar taking shots? Never asked how our food/drinks tasted or if the steak was cooked correctly. I then asked the food runner for a manager (we saw him way more than our server) just to find out the manager was our server? After all of this and explaining I did not believe she deserves a 22% tip she proceeds to tell me there’s nothing she can do. I had no issues paying for our dinner and drinks. But certainly did not think it was okay to pay someone that did absolutely nothing 22%. She makes the food runner bring us our checks and he brings them back after checking us out. Overall very disappointed and definitely will...
