Creamistry is a fun spot if you like variety and experimenting with flavors. They offer a huge range of sundae combinations, and the build-your-own option is definitely the highlight. You can choose from different bases, flavors, mix-ins, and toppings, so it’s easy to customize exactly what you’re craving. It’s a great place to get creative—think cereal toppings, mochi, cookie dough, and more. That said, the ice cream itself is good, but not great. The texture is smooth and it’s made fresh to order, which is cool to watch, but the flavor sometimes lacks that rich, creamy punch you’d expect from a premium spot. Also, more outdoor seating would make a big difference. On nice days, the limited space fills up fast, and there’s not much room to hang out and enjoy your treat. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the fun experience and flavor variety—but if you’re looking for the best-tasting ice cream in town, you might not find it here.

Super rich ice cream with tons of flavor! This has been open for years now and I’ve never gotten around to trying it until tonight. The experience of seeing ice cream being made with liquid nitrogen is always intriguing and you can either customize an ice cream or get one of their specialties. 4/5 stars because the price is a bit steep and try to avoid the dinner crowd because service will be a little slower. I got there right as the crowd left but as I was walking to dinner the line was out the door. If you have a heavy dinner, go for the regular size. (Source: trust me, bro)

I am confused why this place doesn’t have a 5 star review. 1st time here and I am a HUGE fan. I got the captain breakfast which is basically captain crunch, strawberries, Nutella, whipped cream and ice cream made with liquid nitrogen in front of you. AND the result is amazing. Remember I don’t work for these people or have a friend who does. Im being straight up when I say that was some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Check out my videos and images to see it.

My family and friends received appalling service at the Creamistry at Scottsdale Quarter. My party of 9 was celebrating my birthday (our group’s ages range from 21 – 83, so clearly a family get together). We had dinner at a restaurant nearby; instead of enjoying dessert at the same restaurant, we opted to walk over to Creamistry for ice cream.

The moment we opened the door to the location and the staff of 3 employees saw our group size, we were met with rolling eyes and literal glares. So much so that we stopped at the door to double check what time the location closed. Had it been the location been closing near the 8 p.m. time we were there, we wouldn’t have proceeded in (no one wants to serve a large group at closing, and we all understand that). When we saw that the empty location was open until 10 p.m., we thought it was okay to proceed.

Not one employee said anything to us, not a greeting, not even a question of what would we like to order. Just stood there with blank expressions on their faces as one by one my party ordered. My dad, who is 83 years old, said to the employee working the register, “Just put all of this on one bill.” Again, understanding we’re a large group, we thought that would be easier for the employees! We received our ice cream, with the staff barely muttering the orders. We had to keep asking them for clarification on what was what (some of the ice creams looked the same). All we received was snarky, rude, snappy, irritated responses.

By the time we picked up our last ice cream, we couldn’t help but tell them what we thought of their service. They actually yelled at us as we walked out of your location. We spent a lot of money on pretty basic ice cream orders and ended our evening irate. On my birthday …

This isn't the first time service was bad at this location. Last time, the location was really dirty and they had run out of a lot of supplies. We had chalked that visit up to a fluke. But apparently not...

Before leaving this review, I reached out to Creamistry directly to share our experience. It's been almost a week and I've heard nothing. So clearly, they don't care about their customers. In the same shopping area, there are several ice cream vendors nearby. Recommend Frost or Jo Jo's...

My visit here was absolutely horrendous. We started off by ordering our ice cream and even though we were having difficulty with the menu the cashier did not offer to help. Then came the wait line which took over 40 minutes. As our first ice cream came out, you could see that there was little effort put in to making it appear good. Each ice cream was a different size even though they all were in the same cup size! As someone in my group ate the first ice cream, we were all stuck waiting for ours as other people that were in line behind us at the cash received theirs first. Once 20 minutes went by and none of our ice creams had come out yet, we decided that we were going to go up to the counter and ask for a refund. You could see the employees not caring about the ice cream and making jokes with each other while there was a huge line of people waiting for their dessert. When we got to the counter, the manager told us that the system was down and we would have to wait to get our refund until the iPads recharged. While we were waiting, I saw one of the employees use her phone in the back room to take a picture of the manager working on getting the systems working again while laughing with another one of the workers. Then she proceeded to come out of the back and ask the manager if she could have a phone break with her friend while the chaos was happening. I felt very bad for the manager and give major props to him for keeping his cool during the situation but our experience was very bad and we will not be going back there again. If you are reading this review to see if you should go here or not, I would definitely not go and and instead go to sweet republic which has amazing ice cream and is worth the small drive...

The ice cream was good, the ladies working were friendly, but the wait was atrocious. Everything was out of order and while we waited, the couple that came after us got their order first, despite the other people waiting who ordered before we came in. One guy came up and asked them when they would get the fruity pebbles order. The gal said she’d do it right now. Then called them and gave them too smalls. They guy said it wasn’t what they ordered. It was remade as two larges. The one guy was upset and said one was supposed to be a milkshake. It was again remade. Those poor guys, they waited at least 30 mins. Then my husband got his, but it was missing whipped cream and the biscoff cookie. Then we waited some more. The family who were two parties after us started to get their order, though their Speculoos Overload order looked very different than my husbands. I asked about mine, the gal checked and said the ticket was lost. She asked what I got and remade it. The employees were very kind. If the process could be reworked to be more efficient, Creamistry could be so much better. We waited about 25 mins for my order to be ready.

Oh, and the sizes are smaller than the last time I came. The small is now the kids size and the...
