Truly an unique and memorable restaurant experience! But not only due to the culinary excellence at every plate, but equally to the wait staff, chefs and sommeliers which highlight the evening. It is a diamond in the rough compared to most fine dining restaurants that are often a crowded, unfulfilling landscape of mediocrity that often times makes you question why you just spent hundreds upon hundred of dollars or more only to leave completely unsatisfied. Not this restaurant.
It was our anniversary and they sure made the time and experience a fun and memorable one worth every penny.
Little morsels at every step…. Foie Gras, Waygu, Lobster, Caviar, etc…
Only one miss out of 14 courses was a Hasbrown accouterment that was a bit of a reach but nonetheless filling dish.
The lush château feel courtyard ambiance is just as a wonderful experience as the culinary exploration you go on with every plate.
The sommelier Sam is an absolute gem and Reserve is truly lucky to have him. He’s a an Arizona treasure and should be cloned across the globe for his knowledge, personality and unmatched professionalism.
On one of the platings, My date mentioned she absolutely loved the farm fresh Vermont butter which accompanied the freshly baked bread. One of the astute waiters lovingly had some waiting for us in our bag when we left. Things like this alone don’t make a restaurant experience great, nor can it make up for lack lust food quality or taste but they sure are a tell tale sign that at every turn, Reserve is looking for the little details that make up a Michelin star quality restaurant. And I hope to celebrate with them once again soon as they should deservedly obtain it.
Wonderful food. Great atmosphere....
Read moreMy wife and I recently spent a few days in AZ and we wanted to check out some of the fine dining options available. After touring several of the top locations across the state, I can honestly say that none of the others were comparable to the service and delicacies we received at Reserve (despite some matching the price).
The personal attention is the clincher. I wanted a specialized cocktail that was not on the menu (and frequently have difficulty getting at other places) and when I asked Sam if he could accommodate he said, "I'll get you whatever the hell you want". We felt like that was the theme of the night, with Sam even having something crafted up special for my wife's particular tastes and food restrictions. While similarly themed restaurants are now more commonplace, Reserve definitely has a few tricks up their sleeve that will surprise you. 100% will be back when we make our...
Read moreWe celebrated a birthday at Reserve and thoroughly enjoyed it! The attention to detail from the scent in the lobby to the switching of white to black napkins depending on attire is top notch. The wait staff are attentive but not intrusive and the sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging. We shared the supplemental wine pairings which were perfection, and I had a lovely rosé. The portions were just right, and the food flavors interesting and diverse. We were full when we left but not stuffed. The seating is in a covered courtyard surrounded by a fence of vines, flowers, art, and lights, made very comfortable with heat lamps, white linens, and carpets. The setting is very intimate with jazz playing from overhead speakers and lit only by candlelight. You are far enough from other diners not to overhear conversations. Exactly what a birthday dinner...
