Cafe Onoff — Restaurant in Seattle

I recently visited this cafe with my wife for a quick breakfast before starting our workday. I wanted to share my overall positive experience and offer a constructive observation.

Firstly, the food and coffee was exceptional, earning a solid 5/5 rating. We appreciated the quality and taste, and it was evident that attention to detail goes into your culinary offerings.

Additionally, the ambiance of the space left a lasting impression. The cafe was not only inviting but also remarkably well kept and clean, contributing to a pleasant dining environment.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, I did encounter a small inconvenience that I believe is worth mentioning. I noticed that utensils were not provided with the meal, and I had to retrieve them myself. This minor detail, though not a major concern, did impact the overall experience slightly.

So this place used to be a pretty good back in the day and very reasonably priced. We went here to order breakfast. No express breakfast anymore, so we ended up ordering the continental breakfast for 12.00. For 12.00, i would at least expect a delicious breakfast. What we got was potatoes that looked as though they had just been boiled....no browned edges, flavorless eggs and potatoes, and NO toast. When we asked about the toast, they said toast doesn't come with the continental breakfast. As you can see from the screen shot, it clearly says it includes toast. We also ordered a side of rice that taste like it was yesterday's rice, flavorless and dried out and it was in a container that had greasy hand marks all over it. To top it off, the customer service was horrible...they were very rude, put out by the fact we asked if toast was included with our breakfast, the one person told the other person to deal with it, meaning customers. While I will continue to eat here occasionally it will be far less than before. by no means is the food or experience bad, but it's consistently below reasonable expectations given what it is. weather it's a slight mistake on the order, poor execution or lack of knowledge, it's always missing on some level. it could be much better with no impact on revenue or cost with just a little more attention to detail, care, and restaurant knowledge. example suggestions: don't toast a croissant, it just burns. flat top it. this is common best practice for a croissant sandwich. carry more chips, this is cheap inventory and you genuinely lose me sometimes just cuz I don't want fritos. don't serve taco salad in a soft hard shell. better to not use a shell at all and put chips on it or just keep your shells better. all this is cost neutral and...
