Extremely rude customer service. They started harassing all customers to leave 5min before last call for alcohol. I had just paid for a $15 drink, and a full 10min before closing one of the security guards yelled at us to leave and stood behind us while I sipped at the drink I had JUST been sold. They kept yelling at us and harassing us to leave, and when I pointed out I had just bought a $15 drink and planned on finishing it, the security guard told me I should not have bought it. I was SOLD the drink before last call and they started harassing us to leave BEFORE LAST CALL. Then they accused me of being too drunk when the drink I was having was just the second drink I had that night. And the bartender was just too happy to offer me another drink and say it was fine when it was right before last call - but the moment the security guard came by she was all like "Oh yeah, you have to leave now". I left my half unfinished drink at the counter 5min before actual closing time because they wouldn't stop yelling at us and harassing us. I told them several times we'd be out by closing time and I just wanted to finish my drink, but it wasn't good enough for them. I'm never going back, there are plenty of other bars that don't harass their customers to leave before the place...

I honestly have never experienced such a disrespectful bouncer in my life. I understand that people have jobs to do and if I’m doing something I shouldn’t that it’s a bouncers job to let me know, but this man making personal attacks against me IMMEDIATELY and told me to “save my breath”— and other just rude, out of pocket comments. My crime? Taking a last sip of my drink and throwing it away BEFORE entering the line 😭

It is very obvious that this guy was power tripping and just wanted to put me in an uncomfortable situation as a man talking crazy to a girl ((who was just trying to celebrate her college graduation))!!! Like I said, I would understand if I had done something actually offensive but tbh it just seems like he was waiting for the opportunity to pick on someone.

Judging by other reviews I’ve seen ((that seem to be talking about the same man)), this is a pattern of behavior that has targeted women, people of color, and queer folks. I will never feel comfortable coming here again— cap hill is filled with wonderful queer bars that I would much rather support. And I will be advising my friends to follow suit as I would never want them to interact with this guy. Take that...

Had an awful experience with the bouncer/security working the front door the night of 9/12. After waiting 30 minutes to get in the bar and watching said bouncer let in 5-6 other people who walked right up to him, I stood closer to the entrance of the bar and he decided I was too close and caused a scene, yelled at me to move back, and was just really unprofessional and aggressive. Once I grabbed my ID back from him, he decided that I had snatched it out of his hand and told me that I wasn’t allowed in. Honestly this all seemed to be some kind of power trip, and on our way out he grabbed one of my friends aggressively by the arm as well.

I have never been spoken to like that by anyone working a customer-facing role. I am not coming back and will make sure to spread the word that this place hires folks that will harass and antagonize their customers.
