Gyro SABABA (UW) — Restaurant in Seattle

I recently visited Gyro Sababa and was blown away by every aspect of the experience. From the moment I walked in, the space felt clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of their food.

I ordered the lamb & beef plate along with their falafel and a side of garlic sauce. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked — the meat was juicy, the falafel was crisp on the outside yet moist inside, and even the vegetables and pickles tasted fresh and vibrant. The hummus was silky smooth, and the pita was warm and fluffy, ideal for scooping.

Portions are generous, making it excellent value. The menu also provides great options for vegetarians and vegans (I appreciated their cauliflower and veggie items). The line moved quickly, and even at a busy time I didn’t feel rushed or forgotten.

I also tried their baklava for dessert — sweet, flaky, just the right boost after a savory meal. Overall, Gyro Sababa exceeded my expectations and has become a go-to spot for Mediterranean cravings. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for flavorsome, satisfying, and friendly...

Amazing authentic atmosphere, it reminds me of being invited into a welcoming home kitchen. The Owner is genuine and kind as he cooks his dishes in an open kitchen with passion for his food and his culture. The quality of Halal (Answering to a higher standard of quality for meats and dairy) food and the freshness of ingredients cannot be matched even in a five star resteraunt. The combination of added spices in the saffron rice humbled me as I could only guess 5 of the spices used...the rest are family tradition secrets. I have worked in 5 star resteraunts as a chef and I could not match the flavor combination of perfection. We had the #3 and the #9 paired with the Salaam cola (similar to Coke original taste, but better) for lunch. We were completely satisfied with each ingredient and paring the Owner suggested and applied to his craft for cooking. The price for 2 dishes $18 and $13 respectively. Outstanding value for the amount of food and quality you receive. In my humble opinion, come here if you seek authentic food at great value cooked by truly amazing...
