When I arrived there was an individual waiting stated he had been there for 30 min waiting on his order wasn't busy at all, waitress had a open to go order walking around looking confused and talking over the open container with other waitresses and waiters asking who's order is this I stated i hope it's not mine if it is I don't want that your talking over it and walking around talking with others you should hv first covered it, Thank God it wasn't mine. It was the man that had already been there for 30 minutes now 40 min waiting he was already upset about the wait. He asked for the manager he came out and showed no interest in his concern wouldn't even listen to the man kept cutting him off stating you got your food what else is it, he just wanted to be accommodated to feel better his exact words manager wasn't trying to hear that escorted him towards the door, it was not right how they treated him he stated I hv my wife in the hospital in labor I came here to get some food for us didn't expect the long wait and treatment I received it's just not right if I had more time I could deal with this he then stated I need to go manager stated I can get you a couple of orange juices which he accepted then stated makes me feel a little better. It was very sad what I witnessed felt really bad for the man and told myself I will never return to this IHOP ever they are judgemental totally depends on what you look like at the Madison IHOP now lastly I ordered takeout the big steak omelet in which was disgusting had to throw it away was supposed to be sliced steak not certain what kind of meat it was but didn't look like nothing close to steak compared more to ground beef but was not very disappointed in this locations attitudes and quality of food I received totally disgusting wasted my money but had no time to go back and deal with a manager i witnessed showed no compassion or respect for people I'm letting all my family and friends know about this experience many have said they have had a similar experience and stopped going to this location awhile ago. Lesson learned, my family and I have been going to this spot for over about 40 - 50yrs off and on I hadn't been in quite some time and will never return sad to say alot of good memories. My family used to work for this location back in the 80's and 90's about 5 of my cousins managers, cooks and waiters. Real steak etc... instead of some strange substitute I really would like to find out what kind of meat they put in my omelet because it wasn't steak or beef online it stated and showed sliced steak not a cheap substitute. I paid $45+ for 2 orders other was for my Mom but learned an expensive lesson never return to this location. I'll miss you Madison IHOP so many good memories tarnished by individuals that have lost sight on their duty to...

I placed an order through the IHOP website on 09/4/24 for pickup at 950 E Madison St, SEATTLE, WA 98122. Upon arrival, I was told that the location was closed due to an emergency and that I would not be receiving my order. I then asked the employee to process a refund for my order, but she told me she was unable to do so and that I needed to follow up with IHOP at a later time. I explained that I understand emergencies happen; however, it shouldn't fall on me to chase down a refund for an order they charged me for but couldn't provide. She insisted there was nothing she could do.

I subsequently reached out to their Facebook team using private messaging for resolution. In doing so, I explained that the restaurant should have promised to void the transaction or issue a full refund proactively once they reopened for business. Since that didn't happen, I requested a refund from their Facebook team along with an additional restaurant credit for my poor experience and inconvenience. They said they would forward my concerns to the local ownership team.

On 09/10/24, I received a 2-sentence email from someone responsible for this location confirming a refund will be issued and nothing more. The tone of the email was that of complete indifference and seemed like they were doing me some sort of favor by refunding me.

My attempts to resolve this matter privately were handled poorly and unprofessionally. Thus, I'm bringing my concerns forward in this forum for others to consider before going there. I'm certainly not planning on returning to this location...

Yesterday I had the worst experience I had at a restaurant. Period.

So this week I have been housing unstable and would go and order coffee and sometimes food, so I wouldn't be stuck in the cold and wet of February nights.

So I would stay for about 6 hours so I can go do things in the day. I would spend my time writing or reading a book. Not causing any issues except it seems my mere presence was the issue.

This night I did see it was busy, but they assumed my intent was to stay the same amount of time when it was slow.

So apparently this was a problem for this older brunette. I went in last night and she had an employee named Roberto ask me how long I was staying after I ordered my food and I felt like I was being rushed out of the restaurant. Then the brunette comes up and states since I have been there for several nights for 6 hours that I must be there for the same amount of time and tells me I need to take my coffee to go. I try to explain my situation and she rebuffed me stating, "This isn't a homeless shelter." mind you when I was at there I did order something.

Not only this, I was constantly misgendered and treated like I was a problem when I kept to myself and read a book/wrote in my journal.

If this is how IHOP operates they should be ashamed and I will never return to that establishment.

I would stay away unless you want to be dehumanized and mistreated.

I am unsure what their problem was, but I would hate to assume it's because I am a nonbinary trans woman.

Absolutely...

OPEN 24 HRS. A DAY! I tried the new item on the menu, "Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes." If you look at the pic I took, it looks dry--and it was. I complained, and the waitress, cordially responded, and brought me a side of the sauces used inside the pancakes. My tea was very good. I did order it with lemon, it was really good. Not so good: the restaurant aisles are unbelievably narrow. We had to stop and wait for people to leave and exit their table before we could be seated at ours. Two of our chairs extended out into the aisle, by 3/4 of the narrow aisle. The waitress was apologetic. Any restaurant who does this to customers and waitresses, by deliberately setting up these very narrow aisles, does not deserve a good rating. Handicapped parking is available. Door entrances can accommodate wheelchairs, maybe the narrow aisles can, not sure. Bathroom facilities, also available. The staff are friendly, and tried to make my meal right.

My recent visit to the 24-hour IHOP in Seattle was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel welcome. The menu, packed with a wide variety of options, did not disappoint. Each dish we ordered was delicious, perfectly prepared, and served with a smile. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. With prices ranging from $25 to $35 per person, it offered great value for the quality and quantity of food provided. Whether you're craving a late-night pancake fix or a hearty breakfast to start your day, this IHOP location proves to be a top choice. Highly recommend!"m
