Salt and straw is my favorite icecream spot so I will never complain about another location. All the flavores are always super creative and fresh. Even the simple flavores they do a twist on like strawberry where they add balsamic glaze in it which adds that nice tartness that offsets the sweetness of the real strawberries. Some of the weirder ones like pear blue cheese actually work well too. You would think that it was be way to much but its more of an aftertaste that adds complexity. They also have a myriad of seasonal flavores. This time it was 6 different apple combos like apple doughnut, cider, Carmel apple, etc. They were pretty similar to one another but each had a bit of a twist. It is my wife's favorite spots to get vegan icecream and this time we got one that we hadn't tried before - hazelnut cookies and cream. It was great. It didnt taste vegan at all and had amazing texture. There were huge cookie chucks in there and the whiskey hazelnut complimented it really well. The staff was amazing as always. My server was super knowledgeable, and had more extaxtic energy than I've seen ij a long time. They are very generous with the samples and recommendations. A small but important thing they did is using metal spoons with a little spoon hole to put them when your done. I hate how much waste goes into those little plastic ones others use and the little hole makes it so you dont have to awkwardly hand them back every time. Phenomenal icecream spot. You cant go wrong here.

This was my first experience at Salt & Straw and it did not disappoint! Michael was very friendly and open to new suggestions that I should try. They had their limited edition Apple series line and I tried a couple flavors but I'm a chocolate chip mint gal. The apple series were delicious though! I originally wanted a second flavor and I picked cinnamon snickerdoodle but I tried the honey lavender and I went with that. It paired nicely with my freckled mint chocolate chip. My mouth is still watering as I write this review! Get a waffle cone it was great to the very last bite! The shop itself is super cute and quaint too. I'll be running into the entrance for my next visit! I sat outside and enjoyed every lick!

Always love visiting Salt & Straw 🍨 and I was SO excited to see they opened a new location on Queen Anne!! Great seasonal flavors as always. Big freezer with to-go pints available and other merch for sale. You really can’t go wrong here, all the flavors are amazing! I tried the seasonal Apple Cider Donut and (my favorite) the Salted Malted Cookie Dough, which was a great duo. Pro tip: order a single scoop half & half for the perfect amount, and you get to try 2 flavors!

The flavors were good, but I find them leaning too far on the overly sweet side of things. The waffle cone, in particular, was extremely sweet compared to other cones I’ve had. Maybe that’s what a lot of people like, but I found both the ice cream’s and the cone’s flavors got lost somewhat in the sweetness level.

I’m not sure if it was just the particular day, but based on other photos I’ve seen, I feel like they keep the ice cream slightly warmer than other ice cream places I’ve been. I like it less soft and melty, but I’m sure others might disagree and prefer this melty...
