This place must be better if you're a regular. I am not. So I got to sit there in a coffee shop with 2 customers and watch the barista serve the regular first even though they walked in after I was standing at the counter waiting. Then to top it off the barista proceeds to continue chatting with the customer for another minute or two after making his drink before acknowledging my presence. The barista then proceeds to ignore my request for extra room in my americano. Also probably worth mentioning that the americano and croissant are mediocre at best, the quality you'd expect to get at a large chain grocery store not a small coffee shop. Needless to say I wish I had just walked out while the barista was ignoring me and saved us all the joy of me writing...
Read moreThe staff here are absolutely wonderful, and I always love the atmosphere here. I feel it's one of the artsy-est places in the Upper Queen Anne area to be honest. It's not too bright or too dark - I am in love with their lighting.Their coffee issssssss a tad weak to me personally. But their presentation is usually nice, I did enjoy the flavor, and they're pretty quick with what they do. I've had some of their food too and my personal favorite of theirs was a raspberry scone - I think they took the liberty to heat it up for me and serve it personally because instead of calling me to the counter, they brought it right to my table, and it was warm and moist. If you want a nice, quiet place to read and relax for a while, this place is...
Read moreSuch mixed experiences here over the past few months. Probably because they are understaffed. Staff seem strained. Coffee is replacement-level, if you are able to order it. Tends to be a heavier roast than the typical third-wave coffee place, so know what you are getting into.
Went in to order, waited about five minutes, and was skipped in order since I formed a line behind the cash register, not to the side. Barista told me they’d get to me and seemed to smirk, though it’s hard to tell. It seemed like they were deliberately choosing to favor a regular that knew the shibboleth. Felt like an odd way to waste my time, so I left.
Hopefully they learn to mark the floor if this matters so...
