Ordered a breakfast sandwich and latte for takeout. Was served latte first, and then the breakfast sandwich took a long time AND was wrong and not to-go. Took them so long to make another sandwich -- several people who came in after me got their orders before me -- the coffee was cold before I was finally served. The person behind the counter saw me come up but immediately turned her back on me and walked away. It really looked like she thought she could avoid me. After waiting for her to finally come back to the register, all she had were excuses, not even an apology. Would have at least expected an offer to repour the coffee. I hadn't even touched it while waiting for the rest of my order. For a takeout order, they should at least serve food at the same time as coffee, so it's still hot. The service here was awful. I told her it was my first time in and that I won't be back. More defensive excuses. Just wish she could have at least pretended to care. I gave her a chance to do the right thing, but she wouldn't/couldn't figure it out. DO NOT recommend this place for takeout orders unless you like standing around for a good 20 minutes for your food and lukewarm coffee. ...
Read moreUpdate: Went again and got a lunch sandwich. Nothing missing this time, no wait at slightly off-hours lunch, and tasty and friendly yet again. Looks like they added some tape to act as covid line markers.
Original review:
Breakfast sandwiches were awesome, 5/5. Very friendly service. Pretty good coffee.
So why only 3 stars? COVID measures: There were at least 14+ customers in the store waiting for their food at one point. Pretty sure that's over the current occupancy limit. It didn't feel very comfortable to me. Suggestion: Offer a way for customers to wait outside and/or pre-order so they don't have to wait inside. Consider distancing line markers. They forgot the bacon: The #1 was still super delicious, but while the bacon was listed on the receipt it wasn't on the bagel. Slow: Bagel places in Seattle are not known to be fast, and it is their opening weekend, but it was pretty slow. Again, online ordering would help.
I'll be back (soon!) as the food was awesome, and expect to update my review. Regardless of the issues today, this place is gonna succeed - the supply/demand ratio for bagel sandwiches in Seattle is too low and this place is...
Read moreYou have to go on certain days to get food worth the price. For $16 I at least expect the sandwiches to have enough meat to reach the entirety of the bread. Instead, whoever works on Saturday/Sunday making sandwiches really needs a new job or some training. We ordered two days in a row and they were the laziest, most wimpy sandwiches we've ever had in Seattle. We thought they were just having a bad day but the next day we ordered they were even worse with even sadder looking food. The ingredients where just piled in one spot with barely anything but a shit ton of sauce. There was ONE piece of roast beef on mine which was disappointing enough but my husbands looked like it was ran over with 70% sauce just smeared into one big blob of mushy bread. You get one bite with actual ingredients and the rest is just mushy bread and sauce since everything is piled in one spot smack dab in the middle of the bread. Honestly, Jimmy John's is more worth it. Definitely not worth the price for what they give you. However, who makes the sandwiches on Tuesday, knows what they are doing. If you're looking for overpriced, underwhelming food with a long wait, this...
