Super suprised with the quality of ingredients here.
From the outside we were a bit worried, but our friends wanted Indian so we were like "hey let's try this place!"
What an amazing meal! They use whole spices in their food so the food is extra super tasty. You'll find whole cloves throughout the recipes and they're full of natural pungent spicy flavors, not too hot but full of flavor.
Their Biryani was out of this world. I've never had a biryani like this. So flavorful even the choice of rice was unique. Usually it's yellow rice and mild spices with a powdery yellow chicken breast, this one was to die for. Everyone on the table was in agreement there was nothing ordinary about the Biryani here.
We ordered a Chat Samosa, oh man! We've had chat samosa before but not like this it was really incredible. How were we eating at this restaurant on a busy holiday weekend and we were the only ones dining? Incredible. What a treat. Thanks chef!
I ordered a couple Kashmiri specialties and was impressed with these as well. The kashmiri naan bread was really interesting made with nuts and fruits.
We took our leftovers togo and ate them this morning cold. The quality of food is always determined by how good it is when its eaten cold and this stuff was still super tasty this morning fresh out of the fridge.
Cannot wait to go back and its just down the road from Espresso Vivace, so guess we'll be hitting this place...
Read moreAround 1:30 on a Friday afternoon, we were in the mood for some Indian food. Having visited this location before and enjoying the buffet, we stopped in for lunch. We were greeted by the waiter (Balwind Dhaliwal, according to our receipt), who was very friendly, inviting, and accommodating. Though we were disappointed that the restaurant, now under new management, no longer offers a lunch buffet (damn you, COVID!), we could not have been happier with our entrées. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken Butter Masala, along with a side each of plain and garlic naan. The dish literally couldn't have been better - tender tandoori chicken chunks in a rich and perfectly seasoned sauce, served with some of the fluffiest rice I've even eaten - and, of course, we loved the soft flavorful naan with its crunchy exterior. At the end, once we had paid our bill, we left very satisfied - but were surprised about three minutes later when our waiter, who had run two blocks to catch up with us, returned my Visa card to me, which I had left behind in the restaurant! This great, way-beyond-expectation service, coupled with delicious food and a friendly atmosphere, means that we will be dining at Mirch Masala pretty much every time we decide to come to the city - and we think you...
Read moreI have lived by this place for a while, but had never stopped in. The lady who threads my brows is Indian and highly recommended it. So naturally, me being a foodie, I stopped by, and am so glad I did.
First off, the customer service was exceptional. They were very nice and kind. They have a buffet that runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. It is delicious. I had the buffet and had vegetable rice with chicken curry and butter chicken. I also had their salad and the pickled carrots. It was all delicious. The buffet also includes Naan that they bring out to you. The food was very fresh and just the right amount of spice. They continually checked on me and asked me what I needed. After the meal was over, they even followed up with me to see how I enjoyed the food. That was a nice gesture I appreciated.
Also, when I checked in on Yelp, a 15% off coupon appeared, however that coupon cannot be used with the buffet, but I was okay with that. Still, check in and you may get a coupon.
I was impressed, and would definitely recommend Mirch Masala for great Indian Cuisine and a good Indian buffet. I'll...
