I recently visited this sushi place in Seattle with high expectations, especially because it was one of the few places offering late-night sushi. However, my experience turned out to be far from what I had anticipated. I was truly excited to try it out, but unfortunately, it left me thoroughly disappointed. To start, I ordered the classic miso soup, a dish I've enjoyed in various places across Seattle. Surprisingly, it was the first time I encountered miso soup that tasted diluted and lacking in flavor. It was a major letdown and not at all what I expected from a sushi restaurant. Next up were the edamame, a dish I usually enjoy as a light and flavorful appetizer. Sadly, when they arrived, they were served at room temperature, which significantly diminished their appeal. Warm edamame isn’t the norm, and this departure from the usual presentation didn't sit well with my taste buds. Moving on to the sushi rolls, I ordered two varieties – one vegetarian and one seafood. The vegetarian roll had a strange taste that I couldn’t quite place. It seemed off, as if the ingredients weren’t fresh or well-prepared. The seafood roll, too, failed to impress. The flavors didn’t blend well, and the overall taste was far from what I’ve experienced in other sushi restaurants in the area. What perplexed me the most was the restaurant’s high Google rating. Given my disappointing experience, I couldn’t fathom why this place had received such positive reviews. Perhaps there was a drastic change in their quality or standards since those reviews were posted, but my visit certainly didn’t align with the glowing feedback I had read. In summary, my visit to this sushi place was far from satisfying. The diluted miso soup, lukewarm edamame, and poorly executed sushi rolls left me questioning the authenticity of the positive reviews. Regrettably, I wouldn’t consider returning here for another meal. I hope my feedback helps them improve and provide a better dining experience for future customers.

The food was very unsatisfactory and very cheap, the shushi burrito chicken dinner taste like a McDonalds McChicken the portions are a lot smaller then the photos they show, the teriyaki beef bento box meat was way to thick and taste like cheap freezer burnt meat, the sushi was absolutely disgusting the and the teriyaki chicken bento box meat was very grisly and not lean at all, made my mom very nauseous after eating it service at the restaurant was decent, wan g looked very tired and seems out of it, the ambiance was nice inside, on the street I heard someone complain about it saying it’s “nowhere close the bb’s teriyaki”, which in my opinion is decent, today we called asking for a refund and we were told “no Since nobody else complained about the food we can not offer a refund” the only good thing was the rice

I am visiting Seattle’s vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood with my friend and we came across a Japanese fusion restaurant. As someone with very severe allergies to most nuts and sesame, I am skeptical of East Asian food in general. I got the karaage chicken and the beef rice bowl. This was the best Japanese food I’ve ever had in a very long time. The meat was very delicious and flavorful. Normally when it comes to Japanese food, I only get ramen or miso soup since these are the safest options for me. This time I had something different and I was highly impressed. The staff was also super awesome. When I explained them my allergies, they were very careful that there was no cross contamination. They genuinely cared about their customers. This is probably my most favorite restaurant in Capitol Hill.

For late night sushi, there really isn't much for options. This is one of the better options, but that's not saying much. It's cheaper than I would expect for Cap Hill neighborhood, and they're open really late, so it's good for those late night cravings. Ordered two of the meals, one rainbow roll, and one spicy girl. Came with a side each so we picked miso soup and tuna tataki. beverage choice was a bottle of iced tea and a soda. Total cost was around $40 - a decent price for a meal for two people with drinks and a side. Is it the best bang for your buck in terms of sushi? No. Is it the most amazing quality sushi? No. It is the best option you have at midnight and the sushi craving strikes. The prices are half of what you would see at Ten Sushi, for example, and value is definitely higher.

One note, skip anything that isn't simple sushi - the rest of the food is just terrible. See below for more detailed review of other menu items

After having ordered a few more items, I recommend just sticking with basic sushi. Karaage chicken is a complete joke - highly do not recommend. Katsudon comes with japanese curry, and a cutlet - the name has to be wrong - it doesn't have egg, it doesn't have onions, it doesn't have green onion. It is closer to a katsu curry rice than it is to a katsudon.

Last item I do not recommend is any of their fried rolls - they are super greasy and borderline inedible. Highly do...

BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE WORST TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered from this place expecting a decent meal, but what I got was a complete disaster. My food arrived inedible—everything was the WRONG temperature. My edamame was ice cold, my grilled pork gyoza? Also ice cold. And the worst part? My shrimp tempura wasn’t even cooked. Yes, you read that right—raw shrimp tempura. I had no choice but to throw the entire order in the trash because there was no way I was risking food poisoning over this mess.

But it gets worse. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, the manager of all people hung up on me. I called back, thinking maybe it was a mistake, only for them to accuse me of lying. They even had the audacity to say I was just trying to scam them for free food. Excuse me?? I PAID for a meal and received something completely inedible, and somehow I’m the bad guy? I even went through DoorDash, and when they helped me get the manger on the phone again he was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional.

This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. A restaurant that can’t even cook food properly AND disrespects paying customers. Save yourself the frustration (and potential food poisoning) and order from literally...
