This shop reminds me of a lot of trendy shops in Seattle; catches the eye but leaves something to be desired. The layout and design is wonderful with a modern Scandinavian design and has lots of seating, and I can't forget to mention the fantastic location with it being right along Broadway in Cap Hill. I love the fact they use and sell Olympia coffee and have a wide variety of baked goods, but unfortunately the food and drinks got me a bit bummed. We ordered a matcha latte and espresso tonic to drink, the matcha was not strong/ very milky and the espresso tonic could've used more syrup or less tonic. We also ordered some cookies and an egg and ham sandwich, the cookies were tasty, but the sandwich had virtually no flavor/ sauce and the bread was stale. Regardless, the baristas gave us great service, the shop was comfortable to be in, and I'm willing to give it another shot...

run-of-the-mill cafe. i don't get what the 'concept' is supposed to be, other than the interior design. the baristas don't provide exceptional service and the drinks aren't particularly well made either. the matcha isn't the best quality and is a hit or miss (bland or bitter). they also have the typical issues most cafes have iykyk. the location is great, it's clean, and it's nice to see the spot filled. what makes me choose other cafes over this one is consistency of service and the drinks. what makes me choose this cafe is convenience. They could improve by keeping a reliable stock, improving the quality of all ingredients, communication, and training the baristas properly, especially concerning...

I don't want to be rude, but I was really let down. It's way too overpriced even for Seattle standards.

The good: excellent location, great interior. Decent selection of baked goods and drinks. Seawolf baguette was tasty.

The bad: food and drink are just not that good for the price they demand. Sandwich portions are incredibly tiny with barely any meat on them. I get they're not a full blown lunch spot, but they have full blown lunch prices. Two sandwiches and drinks are basically 50 bucks. And the portion sizes and taste are not worth the price. The tea/coffee is adequate, but there's way better options not far from...

I went here cause I was at the Capitol Hill market and the line was short. I waited 18 minutes and had to go ask where my drink was. Both of the people behind had already received theirs. The staff said my order wasn’t on their screen. I got an iced latte with mocha syrup and it was just mid. Between the bad service and just okay drink, I will not be back. There are way too many other options in cap hill for a good coffee. I will say the barista at least did make my drink after I asked where mine was but he was judgy which was the final straw for not recommending this place.
