This is a quick service place - order at the counter when you come in, find yourself a seat, and drop your plates in the buss area when finished. Reading through other reviews, it seemed their most famous menu item is the fried chicken sammy. I came in at 1pm and was able to place my order right away without waiting in line, and the seating inside was about 60% full so it wasn't a problem finding a seat. I paid at the register, and along with paging token #19 I sat at the bar where I could watch the cooks work their magic. They were quite efficient preparing both dine-in and many to-go orders, and the front counter staff was also very friendly and efficient at keeping everything clean and organized. As a whole, the crew operated like a well oiled machine. It took about 15 minutes for my food to reach the counter, and although I watched many chicken sammies make their way out I was alerted to mine being ready when the pager came to life. I ordered the 'happy' version, which is smaller than the full size sammy and intended to be lighter for the lunch crowd. The fries were freshly cut and fried to just the right texture and salted nicely. Their flavor made me think they might have been fried in coconut oil, but it could have just been the seasoning - either way they were very good fries. The fried chicken for this sammy is a thigh - perfectly acceptable for my taste but something to be aware of if you're not a fan of dark meat. It had the perfect amount of breading and was cooked just right to remain juicy while not being too greasy. The kale wasn't an overpowering flavor and the sauce added a lot of taste. This sandwich certainly lived up to its reputation, and I hope to come back for dinner sometime to try the full size version. I truly appreciate a restaurant that cares about focusing on all the small things, and doing them well - there are so many smart decisions here which add up to creating a wonderful experience.

I like to check the menu online before I go to the restaurant and here is the thing- the price online doesn't match the price you pay (before tax). For example, the breakfast burrito is $18.50 on their online menu page but when you are ordering it online or in-store the price is $20.99 (before tax). Another thing- when you order a side of chicken online it's $7 (before tax) and you can add up to 3 sauces for free; there are a couple that do cost extra, such as poutine gravy or bacon jam, but most of them are free. However, if you order in store, all sauces cost $0.75. I tried their breakfast burrito ($20.99 or $23.16 after tax) with chicken and a Fried Chicken Thigh ($7) with two sauces: Jalapeno aioli and Gorgeous Sauce. The breakfast burrito. Paying $23 after tax for a burrito is coconuts, even in Seattle. It is quite filling and has a lot of chicken, but the taste itself is meh. The fried chicken thigh is good especially when dipped in a jalapeno aioli sauce.

Do you remember if you didn’t bring your lunch to school you had to eat the free cheese sandwiches? That’s what I paid $12 for at Skillet. They “call it” the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, but it’s more like the Ultimate Disappointment!!! How do you even try to say that is an Ultimate Grilled Cheese? It was the worst grilled cheese I ever had, even the free ones at school were better than this. Secondly, their service is not great. I have been here multiple times and one time they closed 2 hours early and when the person inside saw that I tried to open the door, they just laughed. Also when I complained about my “barely a sandwich” they didn’t care, they did nothing. Overall, there are way better restaurants in Seattle, don’t waste your money on this Ultimate Disappointment.

I’d rather have just had lunch and moved on with my day, but the experience we just had at this place was unapologetically laughable!

We popped in for a late lunch with a group of 10. The only server working was stoned out of her mind… which, whatever who cares, but she could barely communicate or process simple tasks like pouring a beer or setting drinks on the table.

After ordering through the app, the server told my sister that an item she ordered (fish sandwich) was 86d, even though the ordering app processed her order and charged her card. Since we were under the impression that the fish sandwich wasn’t available, my sister asked for a refund. The server couldn’t figure out how to process a refund. She walked to the back office to talk to her supervisor and said it would be handled momentarily, so my sister walked down the street to order something else.

While sis was gone to get other food, the fish sandwich she ordered and was told wasn’t available came out to the table. We tried calling her to come back but she had already ordered lunch elsewhere. We told the server she had already gone, but the server didn’t seem to care and just left the sandwich on the table.

Once sister had come back to the restaurant, the server had gotten in touch with the manager who was able to void the charge for the fish sandwich.

At this point I still had not received my drink. I had however finished eating my meal.

After our party got all food and bevs and were nearly done eating, Stoney Baloney came over to tell us that, actually, because she left the 86d fish sandwich on our table, the manager reopened the ticket for the sandwich and it needed to be paid.

Ultimately the food at this place is decent, but that poor girl working needs to balance her buzz a bit better during her downtime between...

Hovering around 4-4.5 here, not sure why it seems so low! I thought I was viewing the wrong location, but nope this is where I went. This location closer to Amazon seems to be a smaller sub-location of the Skillet in Capitol Hill with the same menu items, just less options (names are the same, etc). Each item seems to have a WOW half (burger/chicken) and then an "okay" half (sides/waffle) which means I have to find some sort of balance.

You get some sort of side with a burger and not sure what I'd recommend. Each has their own pros and cons. The tomato soup is very solid and tasty but rather smaller compared to others. Fries on the other hand come in a generous amount, but they aren't anything to write home about. With that in mind, they aren't really the main stars because the burgers are. These burgers are delicious and all of them are priced the same, so close your eyes and pick one. The Basic is a strong choice when you're unsure and don't know what to get, it's not going to be overwhelming in case you don't like an ingredient yet it's going to be crafted exceptionally well.

I'm also a fan of the breakfast options. Honestly, one of my favorite chicken and waffles as of now. The chicken is amazing, both tender and juicy. I like it more than Ma'ono and I know a ton of people like their chicken. Having eggs as an option is a nice addition to the meal, would recommend it. The waffle unfortunately isn't anything amazing but I am pleased with the...
