The cashier was super awesome. She was helpful and answered all of our questions. The wait for food was not very long considering how busy they were. Then everything took a wrong turn. My son ordered chicken and waffles. He said there was something weird on his plate (legit looked like bacon and I thought he lost his mind because….bacon). After looking at it we realized it was a used band aid that came out of the fryer 🤮. I took his plate back to the cashier and she also thought it was bacon and looked at me like I lost my mind. I explained to her that it was a used band aid and she looked at it closer. She was very apologetic and immediately was going to start a new meal. I explained to her that all of our food would have come out of that fryer and we were not interested in eating it or having a new plate made. I am giving a 3 star only because she was awesome and did everything she could to make the situation right.

Update:

Elizabeth thank for your response. I understand that things happen. It was made right by your team. I am open to giving Skillet another try when I am in the area. This was not meant as a negative review (it was truly meant to highlight your awesome staff). Again, thank you so much for the response and quick actions to make the situation right. I hope you were able to find where this came from and there are no future issues...

Likely will never have the food from here after what I witnessed from one of their employees. One of the employees from skillet stormed over to ceres in the armory and was impersonating random voices and people to try and get a discount. When he was denied he started yelling and calling the cashier names. Then he slammed his coffee down on the counter before throwing it into the trash like it was some kind of basketball. Only to once again insult the barista before storming off. The look on his face was so frightening, I was considering calling security for a moment because he scared me. I frequent ceres coffee stand and was under the impression that most employees are nice to each other. I've never seen this behaviour from mod or wingdome who I see all the time at that stand. I don't know the employees name but he was wearing a baseball cap, has a black mullet, large dangling earrings and is rail thin. Will not be going over to skillet after that. I don't want to get screamed at or see any of his bad days. That was scary and unacceptable to watch. Sad thing is I was considering getting breakfast there while I stood in line for...

So, I went here during lunch hour today, and the staff was very nice and there is a new guy that was later known as being trained. I am adaptable and understanding. However, I waited almost 30 minutes for a Cobb salad. The reason why, I didn’t have my card and Apple Pay and so the manager that knew how to use that System was away from another register. She was extremely kind and apologetic, and so was the trainee cashier but I still think the food was really bad. Once again, all of the staff was kind, even cook, but I want a refund for this. My salad was awful, they forgot the dressing on the side so added my own at home and the chicken thigh and the bacon had a very strange burnt taste. I paid so much for it I ate it. I have eaten at Skillet many times and I was really disappointed for a salad that expensive to have that big of a failure for the proteins. I really want a refund for this, owner or manager. Please reach out to me so I can come and get a refund. I ate the kale because I wanted the health benefits but the proteins...

Kids chicken strips are dark meat! They had too much breading on them as well and they looked kind of burnt. My kid didn’t like it. I said it can’t be that bad, then I tried it and it was gross. Fatty and gross dark meat. Unless you like that sort of thing. Then I got my chicken sandwich. It was only the same gross, dark meat chicken strip on a bun. Lots of fat and gristle. Terrible sandwich. Service was good, the food was not. At least the chicken strips and chicken sandwich were anyway. Fries were good. Kids burger was good. Soup and grilled cheese was good. Bacon jam burger was good. And the kale Caesar salad was basic but good. Nothing note worthy about it though. Mainly disappointed in the chicken.

I absolutely loved the fried chicken sandwich from this restaurant! The chibatta bun, the perfectly fried chicken thigh, and the jalapeno aioli with kale was fantastic. It was so flavorful. I will crave this sandwich and have to return for another. This was my first time at this restaurant in the Seattle center near the Seattle space needle. I also got the ceaser side salad with it. I love ceaser salad and this dressing was really good as well! Super impressed! The service was also of note and fantastic. The person who took my order went above and beyond in telling me about the restaurant and my choices. I would highly recommend this place to others! Loved it and I can't wait to go again!
