
My husband and I attempted to see a play here and when we entered the lobby there was a “masks required” sign. It is utterly ridiculous that anyone is still doing this in Nov 2023. This requirement was neither indicated when we purchased our tickets nor in the confirmation email we received regarding the performance.    Read moreThis presentation of "She Stoops to Conquer" is amazing and hilarious. Seattle Shakespeare Theatre consistently does a great job. Some plays I just don't want to see, I mean, Macbeth is about a couple who kill their best friends and then slowly go insane with the guilt. Aarrgg! But that's Macbeth! The comedies are usually marvelous and the histories are informative. The non- Shakespeare plays are carefully chosen and executed, too. For sure, this is not Arden or Oxford rendering of text, but the evocation of meaning and relevance while retaining Shakespeare language of selected lines.
