Jasmine, the event coordinator, saved the day! She came along later into the restaurant (we had not seen her prior) and asked how we were. We explained overall good, but the hamburger sliders were not cooked through at all. (The server had never asked regarding what temperature we preferred). She (Jasmine) agreed and graciously offered to remove the cost from our bill. Which we appreciated. However, let's start from the beginning. I noticed a vibe within the restaurant, and it was clear to me that the staff was not happy. You know, that organizational environment. None barely smiling, even when smiled at. Once seated, we requested another table; it seemed to be an inconvenience to the server, but we were provided with another table. Why does the restaurant have a table for two blocked by the wall (cannot look outside) and almost within the walkway of the aisle? Very uncomfortable. The server had an air about her that was not pleasant. My advice if you're having a bad day, something is on your mind, or you don't feel well, do not come to work and project that onto customers. It's not appreciated. The "whispering" of the hostess to the server that Jasmine was going to credit the sliders should not be a conversation that was held within earshot of me, the customer. The server, after such, walked by, but did not apologize. Really, just very unprofessional. As a matter of fact, the server never checked back with us regarding our drinks or meal. She had another server bring our beers - I heard her (we were sitting right there-“take these to them”). Someone else brought the food. She basically avoided us after being seated. I tried to engage her by asking about the accordion collection on the ceiling of the restaurant, but she cut that conversation short as well. I hope it was nothing we did that brought on this attitude by asking for another table. We were pleasant during the entire experience. The hostess even came by to apologize regarding the sliders, and I believe she was pleasantly surprised at my husband's demeanor and answer, stating she wished all customers were as pleasant. I hope this review will serve as constructive criticism for training or to help the server find a better fit. If a prior customer or fellow employee upset you, shake it off. This is a position requiring interaction with the public, and each customer is a new experience. The restaurant's interesting decor of accordion musical instruments on the ceiling and bottle openers in the women's bathroom is...
