So I came to this coffee shop looking to try the famous PowderPuff latte also known as the rainbow latte and it was honestly over hyped up from all the Instagram pics. When I arrived I asked the barista what was in the latte and she said it was a mix of spices like cardamom my favorite, coffee and milk so I was excited! The latte took a little awhile to come out and they served it to our table and it was lukewarm and not hot which totally ruins the flavor of coffee, well at least for me. The flavor of the coffee itself was totally drowned in the sweetness of the syrup and spices they had added and I couldn't taste the coffee at all but the pretty design in rainbow colors at the top of the foam was nice. This was the first time I couldn't finish a cup of coffee since it was way too sweet for my taste. I also ordered an Almond Croissant which was absolutely delicious but very rich and heavy in flavor, probably best to split one. It also had some sort of amazing almond buttery filling inside that was yummy. The staff was very welcoming and knowledge about the coffee and all their bakery goodies. They also had tons of options like cakes by the slice, cookies, macaroons, and more. The seating area is big with the barista and coffee machines in the center but it does tend to get busy with the apartment building right upstairs and all the foot traffic near the Space Needle area. *Street parking is available right outside the cafe but most of its parallel parking. I think their is also a garage around the corner where you can pay to park.

This place has grown on me. The problem is, they are so popular its hard for me to get there on a day when people haven't already purchased all the good stuff. Usually when I arrive 75% of their items are gone. If I didn't get lucky a few times and come in when they had a full selection I would think this location is the worst. I really enjoy their layout having seattle all around and the counter in the center. It's like a dessert bar. So easy to come in with a work machine and work while munching on all their yummy food items. I can't vouche for their drinks as I've only had a lemon san pelligrino. They seem pretty limited with drinks no matter when I come, but their water is always available and that's pretty much what I always drink. The other thing I love about this bakery is their location, it really doesn't get any better. You can literally park here in the morning and leave at night. Why? Well it's right by the climate pledge and space needle park. I feel like I came on a Saturday and spent an entire day within 3 blocks of this location, including coming to this sugar bake spot twice... Good times. Thanks to this place I have an excuse to come early with the pup and just enjoy the day. Rain or shine. Don't forget to try their cakes. Very unique. I tried a slice for the first time today and I must say, it's not the best I've ever had, but it was really tasty and a flavor I've never had.

I must admit I was expecting a little more from this place based on the great reviews, but I still quite liked it. The atmosphere is relatively relaxed and sophisticated, and those who are looking for a pleasant Cafe in which to work and charge their devices and simply escape from the outside world will find this Cafe fitting. Everyone is nice while also providing space, and this is a very good place to simply linger and sip coffee or tea. I personally had an Earl grey that I greatly enjoyed, and I like the little timer that they have to tell you when the tea is ready. That's sad, the croissant sandwich I had was not spectacular, and it was a little cold in the center. The tables are also spaced quite closely together, which is probably good for business, but it also means it's a little difficult to get in or out of the tables, and the noise level is a bit higher than it probably should be. If I'm a bit disappointed, that is only because of high expectations, and there is nothing at all wrong with this place. It is a great option for a cafe on this side of town.
