I arrived to my appointment a few minutes early and the receptionist took me back and began to prep my lashes while I waited for Carol to arrive. The last time I checked my clock it was 3:35pm; 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and Carol has not arrived. The receptionist ended up returning and stated she’ll start my lashes for the next 10-15 minutes for Carol; I didn’t ask where Carol was as I didn’t want to get it into my head. The receptionist was very polite and also stated that my two-week fill will turn into a half set fill which I was okay with; my prior lash appointment was only 10 days ago but most my lashes had fall out. It turned into a $185 appointment before tip. Some time later Carol shows up; at this time I have no way of checking my watch to see what time it was but she takes over and wraps up my appointment by 4:15pm. Carol overall was polite but I don’t feel like she took the time on my lashes or why she was severely late to the appointment. Before wrapping things up she tore the tape off my eyes quite roughly. I was kind enough to give her nearly a $30 tip. I didn’t think much of it but my face started burning where Carol had tore the tape away. When I got home I saw a red rash on my face. I have only been to this salon twice, the girls are polite and my lashes are lovely but being late and charging me for a half set price and only spend 10-15 minutes on me while the receptionist did all the work does not set well for me.

I have been seeing Shani at the Lash and Wax Boutique Queen Anne for I'd say around a year now and no matter what mood I walk in feeling, I am always very happy when I leave. The atmosphere inside is very soothing and adorable. The good company from the other ladies taking care of their clients is an added bonus experience. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to get beautifed😍

So professional and excellent quality work here. I love my services every time! I get my lashes and brows done to look naturally glamorous and the facials are amazing. Plus, you get to hang out with the owner’s adorable and well-behaved pup!

The services my party received were just fine, unfortunately the communication and disregard of requests was abysmal. When I first called to schedule over a month in advance, I scheduled 3 of us at 1 o'clock. My friend and I for a lash lift and my daughter for the signature facial (I made sure to mention the least expensive option as it was the least expensive thing she could do while joining us on a birthday spa day). All 3 of us tried to sign up for promotional emails on the website and all 3 of us were unable to (it said it didn't think we were human). I called in and let them know about the problem and gave my email address to whomever answered the phone and they said they would sign me up so I would receive them. That never happened. I called back again, still a few weeks out and asked if I could add a brow wax and tint to the 2 lash lifts and was told that was added to our appointment. I had also noticed on the website that there was a promotion for the month of September and we were scheduled for Oct 1. I asked if there was any way at all we might be able to get the promotion or if another one might be happening in Oct and was told they would check into it and leave a note on our booking. Then a day or two before the appointment I got a text about the appointment at noon (which was supposed to be 1:00) so I called again and we were somehow scheduled 2 of us at 1 and one of us at noon. I asked if we could all come in at 1 like originally booked and again asked about the promotion and was told they would look into it all and call me right back. A few hours later I hadn't received a call so I called in again and the appointment had been adjusted to 1 and 1:15, which was fine, and I asked yet again about the promotion and was once again told it would be looked into and noted on our booking. At this point I was starting to feel pretty dismissed and put off. When we showed up to the appointment we checked in and I asked again about the promotion and the girl who checked us in and took us back to do the lash lifts said she would ask the manager and never did. I gave up on it at this point feeling really ignored and disregarded. A simple "no we can't extend it" would have been fine, any kind of answer that felt like I wasn't being completely ignored, to my face, was all I wanted. As we were getting our lashes done I mentioned something about our brows and was met with surprise that we wanted that service as well. They absolutely made time without any guilt but the fact that it wasn't expected when I had called twice to confirm it was a bit annoying (further making me feel unheard). Then at the very end when we were all rung up, my daughter who was expecting her base service to be $70 (she added a dermaplane at the time of service thinking she could afford it) was rung up at $335 ($385 after tip). I could see the panic in her eyes. We had never confirmed the facial and having never been there or received any services none of us knew what to expect, least of all her (at all of 23 years old and never having had any facial before). I personally reimbursed her but was not thrilled with adding a few hundred more to the day. When she wrote a review the response really put the blame on her stating that their services and their prices were on the website but the fact of the matter is, the service provided was not the service that I had booked. I even made a comment during booking that she needed the least expensive option. So again, the actual services were all fine but the absolute miserable lack of communication and being ignored and receiving services over 3 times the price started to almost feel like we were being...

Awful place i went to get my lash extensions and they were nice coming into the place got my lashes done and i had pain right away when leaving thought it was gonna go away and i have gotten my lashes done many times before and never felt this way the basically glued the extensions to my skin and they were pulling on my lids my eyes got swollen and very very tender so i called them they had me come in the very next day to get them fixed that it was no big deal then i went in the next morning got told they might have to fix a few of them to come on in and right away they said oh yeah i see what she did oh don't worry im very sorry i will take care of it don't worry so i let them go ahead and start fixing away. She just asked is it painful and i didn't really know what she was doing just thought she was separating the glue from the lashes on my lids abd it was a little bit of pain so i said just a little and she proceeded and i could tell something was not right because they were switching me to the managers chair and she told the girl she would continue that she could take care of someone else. She asked me how i felt and i said well it just hurts i cant even close my lids and she said were does it hurt and i said here and pointed and she said well i can't take many more out or you will be left with nothing and i got scared but didn't know what to do and said just leave it, this had never happened to me before she told me she would try and fix it and said she put a couple of extensions in and you could tell that me lashes were very barely even there the Didn't even look like extensions. I was so unhappy but embarrassed so i just wanted to leave. I left and felt bad for a whole week and then built up the courage to call and say i need a refund and wasn't really being helped so i asked for the manager and she tried to convince me to come back and i said no i wasn't comfortable but she was pushy so i said i would think about it, i called back several time they said she would and no luck then after a few weeks i call again and she calls me back a few days later leaves messages and sends me a message saying there's no refunds one of the employees told me because its been 30 days and i told them i reached out the very next day after my appt. Finally i call back a few times more and talk to the manager which she talks to you like your an idiot and she denies everything i told them that i had proof that i was gonna complain to the better business bureau because you don't pluck someones natural lashes out with out telling the customer if they are ok with that. Only to supposedly fix a mistake they had done in the first place. She of course denied everything ans sais she felt threatened i have no respect for this company that can do that to a customer and just wash their hands by denying it ans saying they feel threatened. Be careful they don't care how you feel they just wanna take your money and they are not all trained properly here or this would have never happened. Do not trust them to do your lashes. Very sad to see how i got...

The service itself was great, Alexis was friendly and informative and did a great job with my hydra facial and dermaplaning, but I have to deduct stars for the actual booking process. I went with my mom and aunt, and when my mom called to make the appointment she asked for a basic facial for me (her and my aunt did lashes). She has her own issues with the booking experience but I won’t mention those because I wasn’t there for them. Without asking any questions or confirming what she meant by “basic facial” they just booked me for the most expensive facial they have. I’ve never done any kind of spa or facial treatment before so I had no idea what to expect and I didn’t remember what the names of the services were or what they all entailed, so I didn’t think to ask any questions or raise any red flags when they called me in for my appointment. I was going in under the impression I was gonna be spending not even half what I did because I thought we’d booked the least expensive option. I’m not sure if it was an attempt to scam people out of money or a misunderstanding/mistake, but either way I’m pretty frustrated. I wish the communication was better because I had a great experience but I really was not even kind of prepared to spend that much money.

UPDATE: Now that I’ve had time to process this more, I actually feel very ripped off, and the response on this review from the boutique puts the blame on me for not questioning them instead of apologizing for booking the wrong appointment. I also confirmed with my mom who made the appointment that she did actually ask for the signature facial and she also specifically commented that I needed the least expensive option. Whether it was intentional or not, they made a booking error that cost an extra $250. I also did communicate that there was an issue when I was there and the person at the front desk didn’t ask any questions or try to understand the situation, she just brushed me off and assured me that it was a great service and I wouldn’t regret it. I didn’t need the service in the first place, I just wanted to spend time with my mom and aunt for her birthday, so I definitely do regret it and I wish I could get my time and money back. I will not be returning here, and I would recommend that no one else goes...
