Customer of almost three years.
I recommend picking anyone but Tyler Arnoldi. I came here monthly for years always tipping around 30% on $65 hair cut so almost $100 each time. This was fine as long as quality was assured.
I had asked Tyler to style my hair but not take off as much as normal and he took off essentially nothing. Causing me to get another haircut in a week; costing me $200 this month! When Tyler saw me less than a week after the first haircut he offered no discount at all; as in Tyler's eyes, Tyler thinks he is perfect. He's very arrogant as you'll discover.
So whatever I pay the full amount, to fix his mistake.
Next haircut left me a little anxious honestly as he left it so long previously so I asked him to cut it a little shorter than normal when i saw he completed 35 minutes into the hour long session. This offended Tyler's arrogance, so he spitefully only trimmed the bangs and left the rest completely uneven.
I could not style my hair properly for 2 months, for $300! That's literally insane. No discount ever offered!
So I'm loyal, you can mess up plenty of times I'll still give you a shot if you got the job done right for years prior.
I got the flu bad, like bed ridden, tons of medicine, could not get out of bed, couldn't even check my phone. A sudden illness kept me bed ridden for multiple days. Apparently I missed a scheduled appointment with Tyler.
Tyler proceeded to bill me $70 for a missed appointment.
Now we're nearing $400 for disappointing hair.
I reach out to Tyler to explain to him my situation and he proceeds to arrogantly tell me that I need to find a new barber and my disappointing hair cuts were my fault since I asked for adjustments? Like what? Your entire job is to accommodate my requests for my hair style if i ask for different accommodations you are supposed to fulfill those not fail and then blame me for it?
So 30% tip, 3 years loyal customer, multiple failed haircuts but still loyal, and Tyler proceeds to tell me I'm not worth his time.
Tyler's arrogance has outpaced his skillset. Maybe look to humble...
Read moreTyler Poole is amazing! My son goes to Tyler exclusively now. I was looking for a good stylist that would work well with Matthew, who has been DeafBlind since birth. He had an immediate connection with Tyler, which is the most important aspect to me. Matthew had been without a haircut through the entire pandemic, and his hair was quite long. Tyler transformed him from a Jesus-looking dude into a supermodel. Patient and let Matthew smell him and give him a hug. If Matthew gives you a hug, you’re golden! The vibe of the entire shop is chill. No fancy clap trap, just amazing hairstylists. Don’t bother going anywhere else, because this is the last place you’ll have to look. Be sure to book ahead of time, especially around the holidays. Booking on their website is smooth, very user-friendly. They also actually answer their phone, and return your calls if they are busy, which I can’t say about most of the shops that I contacted...
Read moreI'm from Oklahoma, spending some time in the Washington area and had not gotten a cut in a LONG time. I looked at a few barber shops in the Seattle area and was drawn to Valiant. Looked through - well creeped on all the barbers there haha - went with my gut and booked a time with Tyler. I was not disappointed. He did an incredible job. From the moment I got in the chair, the conversation started and I honestly felt like I had known Tyler and had been going to Valiant forever. He keeps the time in the chair chill, full of energy and explained some of the cutting process - which made me feel really good. The atmosphere in the shop is sick. Best music and best vibe. If I am still in the area next month, I will be booking again. Don't think about it any longer, just book an appointment. You won't be...
