Galbi Burger Broadway — Restaurant in Seattle

I have gone back to my roots of being a vegetarian, but today I was craving for a nice chicken burger. For various reasons we ended up at Galbi Burger on Broadway, Capitol Hill, Seattle. Probably because of good ratings. The place is hidden in a commercial building, somewhat non descript, basic setting inside. The staff/ owner ( not sure) were very attentive, caring and polite. The food was freshly prepared and the burger was nice. We ordered two burgers, fries and 2 drinks ( $50). Regarding the food....though it's real fresh, it was also sweet with Korean sauce ( almost like teriyaki sauce, sweet). I wish I had known and I would have asked not to add any sauce. Frankly, I didn't care about the sauce as I wasn't prepared to eat a sweet burger. The fries were unique and the serving size was big and also with a lot of different sauces. I prefer thick, very lightly salted, crisp fries. It is easy to find because of the bright sign. Staff was friendly. She was knowledgeable of the menu and suggested we get a basket of fries to share instead of a meal sized portion. Prices are reasonable, small space with a total of 6 tables (2 tables that seats 2 and 4 tables that seats 4 people), but don't let that stop you from trying this place. Food came out hot and delicious. We ordered the Bacon Cheese Galbi Burger, a basket of Spiced French Fries, and the (CBR) Chicken Bacon Ranch Galbi Burger. The fries were salty for our taste, but it was still flavorful. My CBR came out unexpectedly crunchy outside but still juicy inside. Bacon Cheese Galbi Burger was good. it has a hint taste of Bulgogi. Their sauces GB Mayo and Garlic Aoili were a good pair for their fries. All in all, our visit was good. I had a brief conversation with their owner regarding possible rewards system thru Clover since that's what they use for the POS system. You can find them at the Clover app, but there's no way to initiate the point system. That's why i brought it up. So if they start to have one,...

Got the double, it was absolutely huge! It was so good and a great value for the money. Fries are shoestring style, but the super fresh McDonalds kind that are definitely a good example of how to do this style correctly.

While it's not the smash patty style of the Ox Burger from Taurus Ox, it's an equally fresh and interesting take on the burger using Korean flavors instead of Laos ones. If I I ordered again I'd probably get a single though because the double is a lot of food.

Got the spicy mayo with my fries and it was one of the best mayos I've ever had. Sounds kind of silly but I make my own spicy mayo at home, and this one is killer. Can't wait to come back and try their jalapeno burger.
