I have been told by someone that there is a new sign at the inside counter stating that they are making an effort to insure that all orders and complete and correct now, even if patience may be required, as this may slow down the process somewhat (I paraphrased). I also have come to realize that good help may be difficult to get in this area, as there are SO MANY fast food restaurants. Which is to some degree true, however I also know that the better paying companies tend to get the best workers. But looking at the other negative reviews posted here, it looks like the problems have yet to be fixed. At any rate I am amending my review to allow time for them to implement this new system. I love Zaxby's food, and I hope this fixes the problems I personally have had, esp using the online ordering app! CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! No matter how long it takes, and no matter how many cars are behind you! I'm leaving the following bracketed off for now, so you don't really need to read further - yet! [The food is very good, sometimes the service, not so much, as five out of the last seven times I have been here I have always used the online app, and I have had to call back to complain about at least one item being missing! A few times I was charged for things on the menu that they say they don't have at this location. Sometimes it was more than one item. Now I know, after the first few times you would think I would have checked before I left, however each time I figured ‘what are the chances it could happen again’, and I didn’t want to hold up anyone behind me, however I now finally realize that chances are were EXTREMELY GOOD that at least one thing will be missing. And, for a new low, the girl I talked to on 10/16/24 said begrudgingly that I would get a refund on my CC, but after 48 to 72 hrs. and only after insinuating that I apparently want free items SO MUCH that I would spend more money in fuel to go 8 miles each way to get a free item which she said she put in my bag herself (she specifically remembered my order she said). Anyhow, she may well have put the items in someone's bag, but I sure didn't get that bag! However I checked our account 5 days later, and we never received a credit. And then when I called back the MOD said they don’t just credit refunds, and that I need the receipt and also need to go there in person to receive the item(s) missing! But, I no longer had the receipt because I was told I would be getting a refund, which never occurred, and so now I'm told there was nothing they could (would) do for me, even though they have a record of our order showing the purchase with CC! Read moreI recently visited Zaxby’s and had mixed feelings about my experience. The food was undeniably delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the Zax Sauce added a nice kick. The fries were well-seasoned, and the toast was buttery and satisfying. Everything tasted great, and you could tell care was put into preparing the meal.
However, as much as I enjoyed the food, I couldn’t help but feel it wasn’t worth the price. The portion sizes were smaller than expected for what I paid, and by the time I added a drink, the total seemed a bit excessive for fast-casual dining. While the quality is good, I’ve had similar meals at other restaurants for much less.
The staff was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and inviting, so no complaints there. It’s just hard to justify spending so much for what ultimately feels like a splurge rather than a regular dining option.
I’d recommend Zaxby’s if you’re craving something tasty and don’t mind spending a little extra, but for me, it’s more of an occasional treat than...
Read moreDue to covid-19 the drive thru was open. I'm totally fine with that however the customer service was awful. I ordered the Cob Zalad with grilled chicken. When I received my order, there wasn't any eggs or bacon (I always check my oder before pulling off). When I brought it to the attention of the server, she said you ordered house salad. I advised her again I ordered the Cobb salad. She then told me to keep it and she would make another, because they can't take it back inside. When she came back to the window, she gave me a small box with three (3) egg wedges and less than half a strip of bacon, broken into small pieces. I then asked what it was, she said her General Manager told her to just give me that. WOW, REALLY... was my response. So I tossed the box in the original bag with the salad and started to drive off... I then heard the server yell, Oh well...have a nice day! I've never experienced such horrible service. After all it was just a salad. Why not just make it over. This was the store in Sevierville, TN on Winn Dixie Hwy. Needless to say, I won't ever be back to...
