I was here once before and the first experience was ok. Today was the second and last time. My husband got an order of cheese sticks and I decided I wanted some sort of cocktail, but itās early so I decided to try their coffee cocktail but it was nasty, I didnāt like it. I told the waitress and said I would take a pineapple margarita. The waitress left and came back with the same drink set it down and said I can put the other cocktail order in for you, but I still have to charge you for the other one so you guys can still drink it or just leave it sitting here if you donāt. I said what? Wow. Iām not paying for a drink that Iām NOT drinking. And I even reordered another. So the manager then comes and says the same thing. āAll sales are finalā. We said ok weāll take our check but Iām not paying for the drink. I just told her we would be leaving. Then the waitress comes out says our food is ready in hopes that we still want our food and I said I would take my husbands but not the other and then leaves comes back again and said you guys are good, donāt worry about it. So let me be clear I have more than enough money to cover my bill 10X. The customer service received today was disgusting. To the back and forth on what I didnāt like about the drink as if nothing on their menu is allowed to be disliked, was ridiculous. I would NEVER force a customer to pay for something they didnāt like. In my opinion itās bad for business and itās just not comfortable for the type of atmosphere theyāre trying to put out and portray. We are avid go out eaters and we live close by and were so very disappointed and will NOT return or try their other restaurant Mr. Gās chop house. Food is good though but just make sure ya like what you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am proud to say I have been a frequent loyal customer of Jam's since day one. I always reach out to Denise or Christina who are great. I was surprised today to see that I am expected to leave a 20% tip as written on the bill which is presented at the end of the meal. I typically tip over 20% but I would feel much better if it were not an expectation that I must leave an assigned percent if the service level does not Match a 20% Tip. Secondly, why should I be "made" to make up for those who do not tip up to 20%? Is the risk of losing business and making the server suffer through this change worth it when customers do not return for future business? The server suffers and revenue starts to slide downward. Is this change a "win / win"? ON balance maybe this change will have no effect, but then why do it? Tipping like it or not is a way of rewarding and messaging the server (we hope). Others sadly just don't get it the intended concept of a tip. If you cannot afford to leave a proper tip, then there are other choices but don't expect me to make up for others who are not "good" tippers. Not leaving a "good" tip sends a message to the server and to the Manager / ;Owner that something is not right and something needs the attention of the Owner or Manager.. Owners and managers of today's businesses need to take particular notice, customers are looking for value on top of quality. Again, Jam's is a great place, a little high-end but the quality that Denise and Christina bring to Jam's is above average to say the least. I will remain loyal (to a point) but I don't like having another "freedom" taken away even as inconsequential as this particular choice may impact to my life. Hear my voice please....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, I typically never leave a review for any restaurant or place of business. However i feel it was necessary this time. I went to Jams today to have lunch with my friend, we scheduled to meet at 12pm. I assuming it would be busy arrived 15 mins early, as I expected It was busy and I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I agreed to the wait my name and number was taken and I took a seat in the waiting area. Behind me followed a father with his 2 daughters and they were told the same wait time. As we all patiently waited 15 or so mins 2 men arrived and where told it would be 30 minute wait for them, this was after multiple people had come in and placed their name on the list. These men apparently knowing āthe manager or ownerā called her over and spoke with her. They then proceed to sit with us waiting, and after just 5 minutes where then called by that same manger and where seated at a table for 2 by the window. I myself was in complete disbelief that this had just happen however the father with his daughters spoke out. When he questioned what had just happened he was completely ignored. I have never experienced such poor hospitality, customer service in my life. My friend and I where placed at a table and the waitress we had was wonderful. However they truly need to review customer service skills or start taking reservations.
-Addendum In a response to what the restaurant posted. You are confusing us with gentleman who came with his daughters. As I stated in my original post my friend and I were placed at a table and our waitress was amazing. We did not leave before our table was ready. And also I was offered seating at the bar, not a high table In...
