China 8 — Restaurant in Shepherdsville

I'm a truck driver who ran out of hours and had to park overnight at a consignee (GFS). I hadn't eaten all day so I called this Chinese restaurant to see if they delivered. I was told that they deliver to businesses only! So I told the lady that I was at GFS. She immediately asked if I was a truck driver. I said yes I am and she said we don't deliver to truck drivers!!! Now I'm used to being discriminated against due to my race, but I've never been discriminated against because I'm a truck driver! It's okay for us to deliver their food and supplies, but we're not welcome to eat there! We help keep America moving 7 days a week 365 days a year and this is the thanks we get!!! Kind of reminds me of when we ( African Americans) used to have to sit on the back of the bus or use separate water fountains and bathrooms! It was around 5PM. Ordered Veggie Fried Rice, Veggie Chow Mein, 6 Veggie Egg Rolls. This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tried to eat. None of the food had flavor. The rice was so dry, it had no seasoning, no oil was in it, I think it was microwaved. There was no way it was skillet fried! The chow mein looked like it had been reheated a dozen times. I was afraid to even eat it when I couldn’t even tell what the mush was. The Egg Rolls were nothing but pieces of cabbage rolled and tasteless. The crust was the best part. Every bit of it that cost way too much went in the garbage rather than make me sick. The cook need to quit. Also I’m not sure what him and the lady were talking about, but I don’t need to understand Chinese to know that for a good 30 minutes she was arguing with him and very loudly! I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken with a side of fried rice, and it was a great experience! The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a nice balance of sweet and spicy flavors in the sauce. It wasn’t overly sweet like you sometimes get with General Tso's. The portion was generous, and the sauce was enough to coat all the chicken without being too heavy.
