Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Shepherdsville

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME !! TERRIBLE PLACE ! I stopped for first time on 3/2/2024. Friends had told me OTHER Jersey Mikes were "to die for". I walked in the door. 1st time experience at ANY Jersey Mikes. I was standing looking at overhead menu. I was interrupted. There were three young men and one woman behind the counter. One of the guys said, "Excuse me, maam. But my friend over there - he was pointing at him - wanted me to tell you what a good looking woman you are." Totally embarrassing not only for the other guy, but for myself as well, and making me really uncomfortable. TOTALLY inappropriate for an employee of a business. I was trying to place my order with the woman, explaining it was my first time ever at a Jersey Mikes. The woman was having a hard time hearing my order because of the ruckus the boys were making. I couldnt wait to leave, I was so uncomfortable.

THE ORDERS:

First off, the only choice in bread was wheat or white. I will rate them HI on their bread. Its not Hard or thick - like Subway. It was nice n soft, but in need of more flavor selections.

They dont have a 6" sub. It was more like a 4". I looked at their menu and ordered a sandwich comparable to a Subway BMT. On the order board, it said came w provolone cheese. I asked for pepper-jack cheese instead. THEY DONT HAVE pepper-jack.

THEN I was informed that their sandwiches come as described on the board. The customer doesnt have the option of picking n choosing the ingredients for their sandwich. So, my husband HAD to have provolone cheese. I told them black olives. GUESS WHAT! THEY DONT HAVE OLIVES- black OR green for sandwiches ! They DO have banana peppers & pickles. BUT NO GREEN PEPPERS, or cucumbers.

Then it was time for my sandwich. I ordered a meatball sub.

I then noticed a Philly sub. I asked the girl if it was good. She told me she wasnt much of a fan of their shaved steak. I then noticed a chicken philly. I asked if it was all white meat. She said its just regular chicken, whatever that means. I ordered it. It didnt dawn on me until I got home and tried to eat my sandwich. How does a sandwich shop have phillysub w no green peppers for sandwiches.

ANSWER - It was shredded chicken that had been frozen with cooked onions n green peppers intertwined. By time it was reheated, the chicken was dried out and the onions n green peppers had no flavor.

At subway, I can buy TWO 6" subs any way I want for a total of $12 - $15 dollars. These pitiful sandwiches ended up in the garbage at the TOTAL COST of $22 !

WHAT A WASTE OF MY...

I don't usually eat here much because the prices are a little insane. But on 3 separate occasions over the past year I've placed an order through the app and arrived at the store usually 20 min after placing it, to give them time to make it. Every time I've walked in the store it has been empty with no other orders or customers. The employees tell me they will "start making it" after I arrive and continue to take breaks in the middle of making my order to talk about "video games" and other things. And if a person walks in they tell me "I have to help them first" and then they finish their whole order while my order sits half unfinished. By that time someone else has walked in and its a repeat cycle. Including the arrival time on the app I have waited 50 min to over an hour every time I've come here for just one single sub. Just one. If they're young employees and want to talk about videos games thats cool. But they need to learn better customer service and how to work while they talk. Really dont want to stand in the store and hear you talk about fictional characters for half an hour. Other than that the food is...

Just left and the food was good but I guess they were closing but one of the workers told me that they weren’t closing so we ordered food and sat down to eat and a big back white lady with glasses came over and told us they were closing and she’d like us to leave.. we explained to her that we were traveling and had asked prior to ordering food if they were closing and she was standing there when the other lady said they weren’t about to close. It was okay that she informed us they weren’t closing but she just had to say well we want to go home .
