It is a panera bread, so the food is the food. I still like the restaurant in general, but this location happens to be one that i might not come back to. The last few times i have been here, something has been amiss. I have also spread out my visits, so it is not the same crew doing stupid things - it is the entire store. The first time i ordered a full bacon turkey bravo sandwich for my lunch. When i got home, there was no bacon - which happens to be the first word of the sandwich. Got back in my car and about a half hour later was able to finish my lunch.
The next time i was in a rush and wanted to eat quickly and get on the road, waited 10, 15, 20 minutes. I don't like to be pushy, but by this time i was getting upset. I asked the expo about my order, and they never got the order to make. I figured when the people behind me in line were ready to leave after eating that something was wrong. Needless to say i was slightly late to my appointment.
This third time was no different. I had ordered my bacon turkey bravo sandwich and my favorite for wintery days soup the cream of chicken wild rice. I ordered and paid. The expo then called me over to change my soup order because they didn't have any of my soup ready. It is 1115am. How are they out already? "It will be a few minutes" she said. Fine. I walked to my seat and just then they called my name. Ok. Walking to my seat with my tray in hand, i noticed that the soup was a cup after i had ordered a bowl. Ok, quick fix, no worries. Sit down to enjoy my meal. The soup is hot so i start stirring it to help cool down. Take a couple of bites, and notice something that looks like a blanched piece of celery stalk sticking up. I fish it out, and after closer examination found it to be a piece of the plastic bag the soup came from. Like the full corner of the bag where they cut ended up in the soup in my bowl. I showed the manager and all she did was ask if i wanted another bowl of soup. :-b I politely declined and finished my meal. I don't need any deals or giftcards, which would have been nice to even be offered, but i probably will not come back to this location. Three strikes in a row...
Read moreI’ve lived in this area for about 5 years now and this location seemed pretty good, but has gradually gotten worse and worse. At least 70% of the time, there is a problem such as: unnecessary delay in preparing order (the place is rarely busy when I go to pick up my orders, and there are always enough employees, so whatever is going on has nothing to do with that), food is put together sloppy (my fault for getting pick-up orders from the app, I guess the employees know that they can get away with very little effort in putting the sandwiches together), running out of a food item or ingredient (if they run out of a certain cheese for your sandwich, you have pay extra for a different cheese or just not get cheese; also I’ve been there 3 times when they have run out of French baguettes and 2 times when they are out of a certain bagel, which all seem pretty basic for a place that specializes in bagels and bread), or straight up inaccuracy (I have received the wrong sandwich before (luckily no one ever, ever labels them so it was a surprise when I got home), or ingredients are just not included at all, like cheese and egg on a breakfast sandwich, or sauce on the bbq sandwich, both of which have happened to me recently. All of this would be fine if they were charging fast-food prices – because this is definitely fast-food drive-thru quality of service. How about you focus on some basics before expanding your menu just to charge more for less. And if you fill out one of their surveys and/or contact management, they don’t want to just give you a refund or credit to your app account, instead they send you a coupon that basically says “this is a coupon because you complained, we’re sorry” – so I can present that to the employees and maybe they can take the next step and actually spit in my food? Oh thanks,...
Read moreSuch a disappointing experience. I ordered online through the rapid pick up and the order was not ready when I arrived and I ended up waiting about 15 minutes next to the shelf. Several others complained and inquired about their orders that were also not ready. I waited patiently as it was obviously busy. The phone was ringing off the hook and no1 would answer which is ridiculous. I had specified on my order to please toast the bread, when I got back to my office and ate it, not only was the bread not toasted, but the avocado I paid extra for was hard as a rock and I had to pull it off. I took 2 bites because it was all I had for lunch, and threw it away as the sandwich was pretty gross and soggy. What a complete waste of money!! They can not seem to follow simple directions. This is not the first time Panera has been a complete disappointment, and I regret having given them another try. Short staffed or not, you should always take an extra second to make sure you are making the food per the customer's request especially when they are paying extra for...
