So i am a Bar Manager in Bishop Arts came up here to take my niece out to eat for her bday. Our Waitress was very slow, spinach dip, came very close to meal. Refills never happened, servers and hostess on phone. I had to go to the bar to place a togo order. That at the beginning of us seating i said we needed to place a togo order. Then Jessica G our server asked if we needed anything i said a togo box for my food and a togo coke for my child for our 2 hour drive home. She gave her a glass of coke. I reminded i needed a togo she gave her a to go but no straw. I waited waited waited i had to go to the togo girl and ask for a straw. As i was walking into the bar area to ck on my to go my server goes ma'am you didn't place a togo order... I said yes i did i pointed at the togo girl and said i paid her. It took her 15-18 mins to see if i even placed an order with her? She had 2 tables when we came in and then the table left so the booth behind me and us were her only customers. I would understand if it was busy. But there is no excuse for this. No reason at all just plain bad service. We spent 63$ for food for empty drinks plates on table and i had to walk to bar area to get things i needed.

He offered to have it cooked up or get me new chicken but I was wary at that point so I politely told him I was ok. He left and didnt take the pink chicken with him. Minutes later the manager came by and basically just backed up what my server had said, offering new chicken or something else. I was decently full from appetizers at this point so I told him no thanks. Against my will he took it off my bill. He left but again he didn't bother to take the chicken away so i wouldn't constantly be reminded. As a server I found that odd but I said nothing, left my server a generous tip and carried on. After discussing this with others, it seems to be a common problem here. What does it take until something happens that attempts a fix of the situation. It really all falls on poor management. Recently promoted to GM, Karl, is about as good a manager as Hannibal Lecter is a vegetarian. No bad notes to my server or the manager on duty that night, they are excelling with what they have to work with there.

The bun was buttery and paired with the pickles it was so delicious. Tbh, best chicken sandwich I've had between the 6 States I've been to. I look forward to coming and ordering it again and again. Onion rings ordered extra crispy....oooh yummy. I love that they are not thick rings or breaded. They are thinner rings of onion , batter dipped and crisped to crunchy perfection. When you bite them you bite the onion with the crispy coating, not just the outer coating and the onion still hanging there after. The hamburger was cold my veteran said but was good. His sister ordered the pot pie and was from scratch with plenty of chunks of chicken, peas, potatoes and the crust so flaky. For a home cooked meal without messing your kitchen go to Cheddar's.

Usually, every 6 months or so we (5 men) stop by here to eat, usually a Saturday or Sunday night. The other times have been great to fair! This time, November 30, 2024, it was horrible! I called in around 5pm for a reservation for 5 at 6pm. We arrived about 5:55 pm or so. The hostess greeted us and said it would be 5 or 10 minutes while the people left our reserved table and the crew cleaned the table. Three of our group went to the bar and purchased 3 beers.

About 10 minutes or so the hostess called us. A young man was to lead us to our table. Now, 5 men remember, and he started to lead us to a booth for 4. He realized that was not going to work. He talked to the hostess. She came and said he had seated the group before us at the table she had reserved for us by mistake! Semi quickly, they cleared a corner table off that really didn't fit us but we made it work.

Now the lack of service. The young man that sat us said if we needed anything let him know. Two of us asked for couple of beers and he said someone would be with us in a minute! Finally, another young man showed up, was not that friendly. No croissants delived!! Looked as if he was high, or really, really new! He had trouble taking our two beer order! He also tried to add the beers the others men had already paid for at the bar. Took a while to get our two beers! Still no croissants! We finally asked for some and he did bring us 10, kudos to him! He had trouble taking our order! He admitted he was not paying attention when taking our orders! Most had to tell him several times what we wanted.

It took forever to get our food. Four of us ordered salad as one of the sides and did not get the salads until we were almost through with the meal. Then we were charged 0.99 cents extra for the salad which came as one of our two sides. The ribs one man got were dry. The French fries were lukewarm, not hot. I had 2 beers with my meal and he tried to charge one of the other men one of my beers. We caught it and had him change the bills. At this time we realized we were charged for a salad which should have been included with the meal. Another man was charged for the beer he already paid for at the bar! By that time we just said to forget about it, pay the bills and get out of there. This whole time, we did not know the waiter's name, but he acted as if he was high on something, or just did not know his job! Either way it was bad! I recently dined at Cheddar's, and I must say that my experience fell short of my expectations. While it wasn't a complete disaster, there were several areas where improvement is needed to elevate the overall dining experience.

Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant left something to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the floors appeared dirty. It was clear that the establishment could benefit from better maintenance and attention to cleanliness.

Lastly, I found the noise level to be quite high. The restaurant was bustling with activity, and it was difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices. This significantly detracted from the overall dining experience and made it challenging to relax and enjoy the meal.

In summary, my experience at Cheddar's was mediocre. While there were some positives, such as the ambiance and reasonable prices, the inconsistent service, average food quality, cleanliness issues, and noisy environment were notable downsides. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for several years. The service has gone down hill and so has the food. First off, there are 4 greeters up front who just talk and look at their phones. When the waiting staff is obviously struggling, maybe they should’ve helped their co workers and do something that improves the quality of service. When we finally got to place our order, we waited an hour and 15 min before the food arrived. We never got a drink refill although we asked. When they brought the food it wasn’t at all what we ordered except for the kids burger with fries. We mentioned it to the waiter and understand mistakes happen and since we waited this long we decided to not address it further. Instead of fried chicken being brought, they brought what they say is “white fish”. Honestly it was more like a big white piece of rubber you couldn’t even poke a fork in. Pretty sure it was microwaved. It wasn’t even edible. I’ve never complained about food and not at all a picky eater, but my wife’s meal wasn’t correct and was dry with no seasoning. The waiter said he would talk to the manager and have it comped, but instead the manager modified the receipt to show 2 of that meal was ordered with one deducted. I only ordered one, so bringing another receipt to show 2 with one being taken off was a slick move. Mentioned it to the waiter, the manager never came over at all. Very disappointed.
