Rude, rude rude! We look forward to visiting this Starbucks whenever we are in Sioux City. I placed my order via the online ap and entered the drive thru. Once at the speaker my husband advised that we were here to pick up our order. Ernesto then proceeded to lecture us on pick up times with a very unfriendly tone. I checked my pickup up time on my phone and it said 8:22, it was 8:16. There were several cars ahead and there was no way we would be early for our pick up time. It was 8:22 and we still had 2 cars in front of us, which normally is no big deal. We don’t mind waiting. However, since Ernesto made it a point to lecture us about being to early to pick up from the drive thru, I exited the car and went in at 823 for my drinks, while my husband waited in the drive thru. The drinks of course were not made. Why lecture me, when you are behind schedule and waiting in the drive thru would have been no problem. I told Ernesto that I didn’t appreciate the tone or the lecture and was told by another male employee to not argue and to “Play on my phone until my drinks were ready” I felt very intimidated by this remark, almost threatened. So I sat, and didn’t say another word, wish I would have just walked out. Ernesto continued to argue with me and asked me if I wanted his managers name. When I left, I could see the 3 employees laughing through the window like it was some kind of joke. I can’t even describe the level of unprofessionalism and how awful this made me feel. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and next time we’ll go to the Target Starbucks, where at least we’ve always been treated with respect. As a customer, My voice should be heard without argument and making me feel uncomfortable. Shame on this Starbucks, you honestly give Starbucks a bad name. If this had been my first visit I would have never went back to...
Read more(03/14/24) I wanted to give a shout out to the Barista that was concerned that she missed adding the powdered cinnamon on top of one of my drinks. This commitment to detail and the integrity to do a job well done, will take you far. Most people would have not stopped a customer to fix the order over something like sprinkles, thinking the customer probably would not notice. I appreciate the gesture and the professionalism. If your currently not already a manager, you should definitely persue it. 😁 (2023) Store still has a friendly staff. Normally mobile order is great. However, today it took 33min and it seemed that people that ordered after me for their drinks first. On top of that, I watched a barista work on my order and accidentally put regular milk instead of oatmilk in my order. I get mistakes happen and she caught herself in advance and dumped the milk. However, instead of getting a new glass, she proceeded with putting the oatmilk in the glass with dairy residue to save time. I had to stop her and let her know that I'm allergic to dairy. (She could have rinsed the cup with water and that would have also been fine, but new cup is the safest.) Starbucks needs to train their employees; that many people who order milk alternatives, do so, because they are allergic and they should take every precaution to avoid mixing Dairy into their non-dairy order.
(2018) Great team at this store. They are always friendly and are quick to fix any mistakes; which rarely happens. The atmosphere is relaxing with a good energy. Striking up a good conversation with a stranger, is a...
Read moreThis Starbucks has a lot of potential to be a great place, but unfortunately it doesn't reach the mark. First, the bathrooms are some of the worst bathrooms I've ever seen in a Starbucks. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the trash bag was 2 sizes too big for the trash can, and there was hair and residue built up around the sink. Second, the staff are friendly when they can be, but they talk about a lot of private things that should not be mentioned so openly around customers. They seemed more interested in each others' social lives than serving customers. One time, I went up to order a venti water, and the barista had to leave a conversation with a coworker to come help me. When I asked her for a water, she was shocked and said, "You really just came for a water?" It was kind of rude, and I felt like I was inconveniencing her. Besides these things, the Starbucks has a really cool design, and I like the large tabletops for working. The outdoor space is great too. Furthermore, my orders have always been correct so far and made promptly. I wish everything was better taken care of and the people were a little bit nicer. It has the potential to be really well done if management took a little more charge.
After a couple months of coming here regularly because I don’t have an office currently, the staff situation has improved. The staff have been a lot better about getting to know me and engaging in conversation. I have appreciated the efforts a lot in that respect. The bathrooms still haven’t improved which is a bummer. Otherwise, they’re...
