We normally love this place we've been going to BJs over 15 years and about 3 to the slidell location. Food is always good but service in slidell has always been spotty. But tonight may have forever ruined this location for us. We live 45 mins away and come here at least once a month. Tonight we were sat, not greeted for roughly 10 mins. We didnt think much they looked busy given the COVID seating. When asked about what to drink server said drink menu was online, luckily we took our phones in this time, then my husband proceeded to ask for a beer flight in which all listed beers were no available. Asked what was available and told the manager was printing copies. Never recieved the copy and he order taps. We put in an appetizer, tuna poke, 5 mins later she came back with our drinks and took our food order, cheryl glazed salmon and tuna soba noodles. 20 mins later no food. A table sat as we were making our drink order has not only drinks but their food. My husband asked the hostess for a supervisor, no one came to the table. Server brought out our entrees and then said the appetizer wonton chips were being made and will be out shortly, they will comp the appetizer. We don't want free food we want our food in a timely manner and when we ordered. Then we realized she brought the wrong food for my husband she took it back and fixed it. Brought out the appetizer and 10 mins later brought out his correct food. Now we would have left before this but it was my birthday and I LOVE the pazookie. I order one every birthday and pay for it. We asked for boxes and a trio pazookie. We have now asked the busser to talk to the manager. We get our dessert and bill another server passes by and we ask who the supervisor is and it happens to be a woman name Tiffany, we ask one more time and wait until we finish the dessert and again no supervisor. I dont know what has happen to the sevice but there was no personality and customer service skills that were displayed and the fact that a supervisor apparently refused to come to the table is insane to us especially since we are both in the food service industry. Itll be a while before we come back there and we will be calling the...
Read moreUnfulfilled is the best way I could describe the whole experience I had tonight. From the time we walked in to the time we left it was truly amazing how much our waiter seemed to care less about what was going on. The host started us straight away and then the wait began. Not only did it take too long to even get acknowledged but the waiter helped people that came in after us as soon as they walked through the door. Didn't even put in our order for an appetizer and if he did never checked to see if it was made or give us any update. The food I ordered was not available, which, as a waiter you should know what is no longer an option for your customers. The food I ordered as a second option was subpar and my wife's shrimp scampi was so oily you couldn't even pick up a fork full without letting it drip off excess first. He never came to check up on us and when asked for a simple water, he couldn't even do that. The bartender literally had to ask him what was going on with our food because he saw we had been waiting for quite a while and he seemed like he just laughed until he saw I was looking at him. When you only have 2 tables the service shouldn't be this subpar. Seriously. The dessert was the best part about dinner and it was mostly just ice cream and very little pizookie. Needless to say I don't know what kind of experience my friend had who recommended me to come here but I will not be patronizing this establishment again. The guy couldn't even be attentive enough to bring the check out when we had been sitting there waiting. He comp'd the two teas but seriously that is not the way to win a customer back over. By that time it's too late. Management really needs to look at who they have working for them and assess whether or not they're worth the customer loss and profit loss. Wish I would not have driven 45 minutes...
Read moreI've only had BJ's with delivery, so I have no experience with their dine in. The most recent reviews talk about the service, but I honestly feel that's not a surprise right now. Restaurants are having an extremely difficult time finding staff, so if you are dining out you should have a little more patience right now. I would not hesitate to dine in based on my delivery experiences.
My husband is obsessed with their ribs, and he is extremely picky about ribs. He always gets the mozzarella and tomato salad with fries. We've ordered approximately 8 times in the past year, and the only complaint he's ever had is once when the fries were missing, but you can't hold it against them when it's delivered. Could easily be the fault of the delivery service, so no big deal.
I have always gotten the tri tip, and recently have been ordering the tri tip and chicken breast. The chicken breast is the best grilled chicken I've had from a restaurant. It is always moist but fully cooked. It could use a little more seasoning for my taste, but that is personal opinion. The steak has always been perfect. You can only choose from medium and up. I eat my steak medium rare...the steak is always under medium which gives you the ability to heat it a little without it getting overcooked which I love. I cant get enough of the white cheddar mashed potatoes. Hands down the best mashed potatoes I've had. The broccoli is good, as is the broccoli and cheddar soup. Nothing special, but it was good.
BJs is my Go To when I've had a long day at work and don't feel like cooking. We have never been disappointed in the food, and I feel that's saying a lot with it being based on food that...
