Read moreThis particular location had good food overall and great service. We were traveling from Louisiana to Georgia....I believe we were still in Louisiana when we stopped. It was our first time eating at this place, it's similar to a Texas Roadhouse. We tried the Shrimp Alfredo, Grill salmon Blackened, and Steak& grilled shrimp. We loved the honey butter croissants, although I've never seen a restaurant charge extra for bread served before the food arrives...weird! But prices for the meals are pretty reasonable for food and portion size so we didn't complain. Now to the details...the Shrimp Alfredo was the best meal at our table. The only setback was the garlic bread was hard as a rock. But we had our fill of bread with the croissants so we didn't complain. But the dish was tasty and fresh and enough portion sized to share or have your fill and take the rest home. Now on to the Salmon....I got Blackened but I should have tried the grilled or bourbon. It came with rice and two other sides. I got a sweet potato and a veggie. The salmon was seasoned but little flavor, I guess that's to be expected. The rice had hard pieces throughout, and I just had to return it. They quickly brought out a fresh bed of fluffy soft rice. Overall, it was good, I finished my meal. If I returned, I would order something else. The steak was seasoned and cooked well, plus the grilled shrimp was a good match to create a surf and turf. Got a loaded baked potato and veggie with it. I added pictures of the menu below because 1) I'm creating the review after the fact, lol. 2) It's important that food on the menu looks like how you receive it. These dishes didn't differ in looks for this location. So what you see is what you get. The pics represent what we received...minus the carrots for a loaded baked potato, swap the battered shrimp for grilled shrimp, add a sweet for the regular bake potato with the salmon and those were our meals đ. We received the best service from our waitress. She was kind, attentive, and quick. We never asked for a single refill because she was on it throughout our sit. She constantly checked on us after the food arrived. She even brought us to-go drinks with our check. Strawberry lemonade is the best! Her attentiveness made up for the minor setbacks from the food...often times it's not what you get, but how you are treated. I can't speak for all locations, but this was a good first-time experience for my...
I've been to several different Cheddar's establishments, but my experience, for Father's Day, was not the best. Our server, the lady with the pink stiletto nails; forgive me I cannot remember her name, was amazing. She was accommodating, knowledgeable, fun to talk to, she was honest about our selections and offered great suggestions. Here is where everything goes awry. The food as below subpar: the spinach dip was awful. I fully understand that it is possible the food comes prepackaged and is warmed at the time of request, that doesn't mean the spinach dip should be under cooked with cheese thrown on top. I felt like a cow constantly chewing to digest it. My mother ordered a medium rare ribeye, she received well done wood chips. Wood chips are the best way I can describe the steak because that's exactly what it looked like. It was difficult to cut and lacked flavor. I love salmon, it's my favorite fish, I can eat it raw, smoked, as a tartar, roasted, air fried, or baked. I love salmon. I asked for the salmon to be cooked medium rare, what did I receive? A well done white fish with seasoning. Thankfully our awesome server brought the atrocity back to the kitchen for them to rectify the offense. While I was waiting, I decided to eat my sides. The broccoli was perfect and the potato was ok. I was content for the most part I just needed salt. Our server wasn't nearby at the time, which was fine I didn't have a problem with that. However, there was another server standing three feet away from me. I asked her for some salt. This woman looked me in the face and walked away. I understand we were not her customers, but she couldn't get me any salt?! SERIOUSLY?! I have never been so aggravated in my life. I was already having a rough time with the food, all I wanted was some salt and she walked way. Our server returned and I asked her for some salt and she immediately grabbed it for me. The server that decided to ignore me was a dark skin woman, with locs, and I believe a nose ring. Beautiful woman, but nasty attitude. The salmon was delivered to our table by the manager, I'm going to assume. They could have kept that salmon, they cooked it the same way once again. I told our server I wasn't satisfied and she took it off the bill, thankfully. The croissants were great of course, but I think your cooks were preoccupied. They had to be, since they were serving people woodchips and inedible white fish, I'm...
Read moreI'm dissapointed. I mentioned to bf several times about how I'd like to go out to eat at cheddars, which he's never had. Well, we made our way finally. The Host was very personable and kind. My bf wasn't too excited about the menu but we started off with the trio, it has tenders. My waitress was polite, asked for our drinks. We were served sweet tea, but it was passed it's expiration. After so many hours, tea taste funny! Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding. My bf asked for steak and shrimp, but was told they were out of SHRIMP. So he chose steak and tenders. It was a alternative he didn't really want. We honestly did not want tenders at all but that's dinner now. Well there was no steak, we waited and finally asked the waitress what we were charged for. She said we chose tenders but we wanted STEAK and tender plate, right under shrimp and steak! It was supposed to turn out where he'd like the place and we come back, well now im not so sure. We brought all of it home because why would I eat my food and he's sitting there angry. She came out with small boxes. So now I have 4 small boxes with our food smashed in it. I feel like I wasted money. I've worked at restaurants and am still in the service industry. I tried to make her aware of what happened, but she became dismissive. She didn't repeat our order, and she didn't apologize for misunderstanding! And now it's obvious you dont know the menu! I did not drive this far for cheddars and I to leave there wishing I cooked instead! She tried to clean it up at the end by offering me a bag. I felt like I should've asked for a manager. I intended on helping her, so I left the tip. I believed she may have been new or her leaders not informing the server with missing items. The table beside me wasn't satisfied either due to no watermelon for the drinks that were advertised. Her response was she overheard the kitchen saying they were out but still put in a order for said drinks?! Silly mistakes like this can make the customer not comfortable with coming back. Eating out is getting too expensive to eat conviently and generously tip! Do better, I drove over 30 minutes for frowns on the way home! My suggestion tanked and am embarrassed I chose here. I could've gotten tenders from popeyes...
