I’m writing this hoping the owner sees it and teaches their staff a little better customer service. I was “helped” by a staff member that communicated so poorly it’s hard to put it into words. From staring at me blankly and not asking any questions like “what can I get you” “what size coffee” etc to him getting my order wrong after I said it 3 times and just saying “sorry” .......not offering to correct the order or ring me up again ( I wasn’t asking for anything to be remade or be given to me for free, I literally just wanted the other half of my order). And to top it all off I was sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for orange juice and when I asked about it he said “oh ya” and told me to come inside to get it only to find out they didn’t have any and asked me if “that’s okay?” ....... what was I just rung up for then? who’s running this show? What did I just pay for? And why is such a simple order so difficult? I felt like I was not speaking with an employee through my entire experience. I don’t know if this review seems petty, but in the moment, this was a terrible experience and showed a lot of unprofessionalism. I felt like I just tipped 20% to get the wrong order and take it upon myself to ask all the questions and do all the things an employee should be doing to provide a baseline experience to a customer. Though the food was good, I will not be coming back and happy to see there are other bagel...
Read moreUpdate - new location: After trying the pizzas from Truck Stop at the old location, I was beyond excited. What was served there was large in size, and delicious! Not sure what happened with the move to this location, but good God did they drop the ball. Pizzas are half the size of what they were (charging the same price), burned (not charred... Unless you're used to pizzeria Ida 'char', which is also just burn) and underwhelming. The Peperoni is decent, but small.
Maybe the bagels are still as good, but since the new location is out of the way on a busy road (not really walkable, or nice to walk). I recently went to try my old standby of the 377, and unfortunately the quality has plummeted even on that front. The brisket almost tasted microwaved - tough as leather, grey, with a slightly "off" smell and taste. I don't want to see them fail, but at the same time there's far too many things going wrong at the moment for me to possibly recommend them over Burlington Bagel Bakery for bagels, or just about any other pizza spot for pizzas.
There's a reason every other spot in this location has failed... Hopefully we don't lose Meyers and I wish the best for them, but it feels like a tragic loss from pine street and a ton of missed potential for what their pizzas originally promised when first debuted during the...
Read moreI really loved this place when it was on Pine Street; the experience was always really consistent even though sometimes there was a wait. Now that they’ve changed locations, sometimes the food is still really awesome but sometimes it’s very hit or miss. Possibly more due to staff turnover or they need to train new people? The online ordering system is great, and we love the convenience of ordering ahead for pickup since we’re usually with our kids and it’s nice to have food ready to go. However, several recent times we ordered there’s something missing, and we have to go back to get what we paid for, which kind of defeats the convenience factor. And my most recent order had the store label still stuck to (and sliced up in) the apple on my sandwich…pretty icky, and I’m sure I ingested some sticker before I noticed this slice. Overall, the food is tasty, and we will still patronize this restaurant! But it would be nice if they could iron out some of the mistakes to make the experience a little bit more seamless and...
