If I could give this location a 10, I certainly would. While the food is good, I'm more impressed with a specific SERVER. Her name is Kennedy. She has went above and BEYOND with our last four visits. Visit one was in the beginning of this year. My food was horrible, and I complained. (It was cold and had to be sent back twice.) I like my food EXTREMELY hot. She went out of her way to get the situation rectified. Visit two was an extended family outing two weeks later. She remembered my husband and I and ensured that my food was correct. Shortly after, we had an unpleasant curb side altercation and decided to give Applebee's a break for a while. Visit three was about a month ago. We decided to give it one last shot. Kennedy was our server again. She remembered our exact order, all the way down to the extra sauce and condiments. She made a joke and told my husband that he was going to look at the menu and still order riblets. She was correct. That's exactly what he did! We thought it was hilarious, but we were more shocked at her accuracy and attention to detail with our order as a whole. It had been well over SIX months since she waited on us. Our dinner was perfect and without a single complaint. With that being said, my family and I went back to Applebee's on yesterday. This was visit four. This time, we REQUESTED Kennedy. She greeted us with a smile and a laugh. She already knew. I simply stated, "You know my order already... and his too!" Needless to say, our food was perfect... I am the first to request management and offer constructive criticism when there is an issue. However, I apply the same energy to giving praise and recognition when my expectations are exceeded. This young lady is amazing. She does an excellent job at truly pleasing and connecting with her customers. While great food is important, the major component to running a successful restaurant is the SERVICE in which your staff provide... Kudos to you, Kennedy. It is YOUR kindness that has gained our...
Read moreBEWARE! I hate to be the Bear of Bad News but I have to warn people. I have two horror stories.
The first was right before my High School Graduation some 5+ years ago. Long story short, the potatoes in my potato salad were brown in the interior and they tasted like dirt like they had gone completely bad and someone chopped them up anyway; my steak was so rare that it was cold and blood was running all over the plate; and finally there were bugs festering out of my broccoli. They were dead and my mom thought they were pieces of pepper. I swore to her up and down that the "pieces of pepper" had appendages. Sure enough, when we took my leftovers home ( I didn't eat any of it ) to examine the pepper, she looked under a magnifying glass and sure enough my broccoli was COVERED in bugs. Stupidly, we didn't report it because we had never had such bad service from Applebees before so it must have been a one time thing.
Recently, last month, I was forced to go back with a staff lunch. I was honestly hoping it had gone under new management and had recovered from the previous incident because it was still in business. I didn't say anything to the employee that was dying to go there, but I did inspect my food very carefully. Everything seemed fine aside from the staff being very slow and staring at us for like five minutes before we were seated. (? I still don't know what they were doing because the place was not at all packed...) However, in the middle of eating everyone started feeling sort of queasy. We left the restaurant and could not work for the rest of the day with how poorly we were all feeling. None of us got sick, but it took a while to pass through our system.
Now, I have to say, I think that the portion sizes for the money are great! But the quality and the staff are not recommendable. I would only recommend eating there to someone who has the...
Read moreI would not recommend this place to anybody. After being seated and placing our drink and food order, our waitress, Abby C, vanished. We did not see her again until we received our food and that is when she was loudly complaining to another waiter and the bartender about how severe the cramps from her period were and how she needed Midol but didn’t have any. My 4 year old had to use the restroom and when we went there we noticed toilet paper coming out of the doors and into the restaurant. Inside the bathroom, the floor was covered in wet soggy toilet paper also. Totally disgusting! We got back to our table, my eldest child was showing her father a very long blonde hair that she found in her food under her chicken. When we finally found our waitress again she asked us what we wanted her to do about it. When she was that we wanted it made again she took it back to the kitchen. It took about 30 minutes for the new dish of food to come out. She told us that the hair did not match anybody in the kitchen and that it must have been my daughter’s hair (my daughter has shoulder-length RED HAIR). As we were waiting for her new food, my husband went to the restroom. A man was leaving the restroom with very long blonde hair. When my husband came back to the table he observed the same man talking to the bartender and then enter the kitchen. When we reserved the bill we were charged for both the original meal as well as the remade meal for my daughter. We had to ask to have it removed and they did it after an argument. We still paid $96.67. We asked to speak to a manager and were told there were no managers on duty. Even after calling and speaking with someone they didn’t even care! I would not recommend coming here. If I was able to give zero...
