First Watch — Restaurant in South Carolina

I LITERALLY ENTERED THIS RESTAURANT WHERE I PATRONIZE USUALLY JUST ABOUT EVERY SATURDAY. THE STORE CLOSES AT 2:30 P.M. I WAS INSIDE & SEATED AT 1:50. I ASKED FOR FRESH DECAFF COFFEE WHICH I ALWAYS DO....ALWAYS... THE WAITRESS TOLD ME THAT SHE COULDN'T BREW ME A FRESH POT OF COFFEE BC " WE CLOSE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES, & WE CAN'T BREW A FRESH POT OF DECAFF COFFEE JUST FOR YOU....AGAIN WE CLOSE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES...I'LL GET MY MANAGER IF YOU WANT ME TO. " I SAID THAT I AM IN HERE, SEATED IN MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME FOR YOU TO BREW ME SOME FRESH DECAFF COFFEE, BUT SHE STILL STRONGLY DISAGREED TO DO SO. HER MANAGER/JEFF CAME TO MY TABLE, DIDN'T EVEN SPEAK, SEEMED TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE AT ME & STATED, "JUST LIKE SHE JUST TOLD YOU, WE CAN'T BREW A FRESH POT OF DECAFF COFFEE JUST FOR YOU BC WE CLOSE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES, & THAT'S ABOUT A GALLON OF COFFEE THAT WE WILL HAVE TO THROW AWAY UNLESS YOU CAN DRINK UP THE ENTIRE GALLON OF DECAFF COFFEE..." I PROCEEDED TO SAY HOW UNFAIR THIS WAS TO ME WHICH HE DIDN'T CARE AT ALL!!! I GOT UP FROM THE TABLE AFTER THE MANAGER/JEFF HAD NO COMPASSION OR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TOWARDS ME WHAT SO EVER & I ASKED POLITELY ONE OF THE SERVERS WHO WAS JEFF'S MANAGER & I WAS TOLD THAT CORA/ STORE MANAGER HAD JUST LEFT. I THEN BEGAN TO SIT DOWN AT THE FRONT DOOR TO COMPLETE THIS REVIEW, & THEN JESS WHOM BY THE WAY WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL, APOLOGIZED FOR THE HORRIBLE WAY THAT I WAS JUST TREATED BY JEFF & WAITRESS & ASKED ME TO PLEASE STAY & THAT SHE WOULD ACCOMDATE ME WHICH SHE DID WITH SUCH GRACE & STILL VERY MUCH APOLOGETIC FOR HOW JEFF SO RUDELY MISTREATED ME. I THANKED JESS FOR ALL HER KINDNESS TOWARDS ME & I STILL ASKED TO SPEAK TO JEFF'S MANAGER LATER ON. IT'S ABOUT 2:50 P.M., & THERE IS STILL GUEST HERE IN THE RESTAURANT ❗️SO NOW, I'M STILL CONFUSED & FEELING HUMILIATED TO SAY THE LEAST AS TO WHY JEFF STILL REFUSED TO BREW ME A FRESH POT OF DECAFF COFFEE ❓️. I am the mother of a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I went to First Watch on 1/18/2025 to meet up with two of my mom friends. This was the first time since having my baby that I was going to meet up with friends without my kids, so this time out alone, was a much anticipated treat. Unfortunately, our experience was dimmed by our server, Morgan. She started out friendly enough, but it was quickly noticed that she wanted us in and out of her booth as fast as possible, and she made that very clear.

Not 30 seconds after she brought our food, she was back asking how it was. We all smiled and nodded it was great, even though we hadn't had the chance to swallow a bite yet. Around 10 minutes later she was back with our checks, "just in case she isn't around when we're done". She then came back again maybe 15 mins later asking if we wanted boxes, "no we're still eating, thank you." Then again, to ask if we wanted a box. Then AGAIN she comes and says, "I already gave y'all the check, right?" We say yes and at this point we are really feeling like we are being asked to get out so we try to wrap up our plates and conversation. After this she comes YET AGAIN. At this point we are all feeling so hounded we decide to leave. In total, our party was seated from 9:15am-10:30am. Hardly overstaying.

I am really disappointed in the experience we had. Was the food good? I don't even know, all I know was I was trying to have an enjoyable, slow morning with my friends for the first time in over six months, and I was interrupted every 10-15 minutes by a server who made me feel like I needed to swallow my food and...

I eat at first watch a lot. But of all my experiences I would say this is my least favorite. I called the phone to place my to go order from 9am -10. Even called on my way to the restaurant. I truly just wanted to get my food and go. Not sit and wait. When I showed up to the restaurant to ask the lady about their phone not working she said they must've unplugged since they were slammed yesterday. In the middle of her sentence the phone begin to ring and she picked it up and hung it up. Okay cool. She took my order. I ordered the traditional. I also added sliced avocados. I asked the lady could I get some of the fresh homemade jam. I would say the service was pretty fast. I got my food fast but I was so pissed at the avocados slices. I usually get a container of avocado slices no matter what first watch I go to but this location gave me a sauce cup with the smallest avocado slices. Only 3 slice no longer than half an inch. I wanted to say something but I was over them at this point. The grits were horrible. I gave them to my dog. They were watery and look like they had been overcooked. The potatoes was good. The fruit was okay. It was not the best serving I've gotten from first watch. The strawberries were still half white. The melons were pretty hard. They forgot my fresh jelly but I'm glad I checked my bag before I left. I had to remind her of what I asked for and she got it. The server was really nice. My issues is the phone situation , the...
