This review is directed at upper management. The food is great. My favorite pizza around. My complaint is this: you have to give people that are standing in line, but ordering to go, a number. As it stands, when you go in to order, if you are dining in, you get a number you take to your table. If you order to go, then the poor teenage kids working there have to try and remember who you are and what you ordered. My wife and I went in tonight to order take out. We went through the line, ordered 2 regular sized pizzas, a kid pizza, and a salad to go. We are then ushered to the cashier to pay, we pay, they ask our name in a very loud and chaotic environment and then we sort of just fade back, find a seat or something to lean on and wait like a bunch of a other people are doing for their take out among the other diners who are eating in but have numbers at their table. But I don't have a number. I'm just sitting there hoping they get my name right and remember who I am and what I ordered but knowing it's just a bunch of well-meaning but under-paid (my niece worked there so I'm qualified to say that) and stressed teenagers in charge of getting my order right while pizzas are popping out of the oven every 30 seconds and the ordering never slows down. As you can probably guess, my order was given to another guy who's name sounded like mine (sort of) and they had to remake my order. That proved to be difficult trying to insert an order into the lineup going the other way. I was apologized to by multiple employees who I could tell were very frustrated with the way things were going as nobody seemed to be enjoying their job at this time and there was a lot of frowning and scowls going around. I was told that they would throw in a dessert pizza for me for free for the inconvenience and I said no problem. After some time and quite a bit of scrambling by the employees, I was presented with my order. And it was wrong. I only checked the salad and it was a small instead of a large as I ordered. It was quickly fixed and we left, only to arrive home and realize that the dessert pizza was included but not one of the pizzas we ordered in the first place! So, I drove back to the restaurant, and told the same cashier the issue (at this point the masses had dissipated to some degree) and she quickly had a pizza made for me. I was never mad at anyone in particular, but I wanted to ask about procedure that could be improved to avoid these issues. The manager presented me with my pizza and gave me a gift certificate and was very nice, always is. I told him that you need to give take-out patrons a number while they are waiting to avoid confusion. He explained that he had brought similar issues up to upper management and was told that this was the way it was and nothing was going to be changed. He told me that upper management wanted the staff to not give numbers out to keep it more "personal." Utterly ridiculous. Those dining in have numbers at their tables, so why not the take out patrons? Let me tell you how personal it feels to sit there and worry/hope that the employees remember your name and what you ordered while running around making and boxing pizzas and salads! This is a very long review about a very silly but easy to fix problem. GIVE THE TAKE OUT PATRONS NUMBERS!!! It will alleviate a lot of stress on employees and maybe some of them might even smile while they work. Pizza is...
Read moreEDIT.... Unfortunately this location has changed. New people all the time. Food is inconsistent. I no longer enjoy going here. Portions are much smaller less toppings on pizza and salads. I ordered an Italiana salad today and it is one of the worst I've gotten here. Very little toppings. They did not give me a dressing so I asked for the balsamic instead of the blue cheese and they wanted to charge me. I told them there was no dressing in my Togo order and they wanted to check the bag to make sure I wasn't lying. I said check. No dressing. And then the balsamic dressing was literally a tbsp size they wanted to charge .85 cents. I get it. Not a lot of money. But seriously? .85 cents and I I get a dressing. Not sure I will eat here as often as each visit has gotten worse and worse.
My husband and I come here often. At least once a week sometimes twice. I love the pizza and salads. I enjoy having my pizza cooked a bit longer so its crisper. The viola is my favorite with adding either salami or mushrooms. The tre sorel salad is my go too! Dressing on the side and no onions. I love onions but I cant eat them. If I need more protein I add chicken. Their chicken is much better now than in the past. I could eat a pizza from here several times a week. Their brownies are great too if you've never had one try it. I wasnt sure I'd like it but I do. I think I...
Read moreFresh Ingredients, But That’s About It
I really wanted to like this place, but overall, it was a letdown. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of good quality, but somehow the food still ended up being incredibly bland — honestly, even frozen pizza has more flavor. It felt like all the effort went into sourcing ingredients but none into seasoning or taste.
Service was okay at best, but not helpful. As a first-time visitor, I had questions about the menu and asked for recommendations, but the staff gave very little input and didn’t seem interested in helping guide the experience.
They also messed up my son’s pizza, which meant the rest of us had to start eating while he waited for his to be remade — and no effort was made to apologize or offer anything to make up for it.
The ice machine was out, and even though staff saw me trying to get ice with no luck, no one stepped in until another customer asked. Not a huge deal, but it added to the overall lack of attentiveness.
The ambiance was underwhelming — quiet and nearly empty, but not in a cozy or relaxing way.
There’s definitely potential here with the quality of ingredients, but the lack of flavor and service makes it hard...
