Read moreRemember the scene in Ladybird, where Saoirse Ronan describes getting emotional when she drives through her hometown for the first time? How seeing the streets and shops she'd been by all her life was surreal to drive through? That was my experience today.
Going to The District unleashed a flood of nostalgia, from the brick wall I used to bounce my lacrosse ball against, to the alley way where me and my friends tortured a dying cat, to the Megaplex Theatre where we used to wait for someone to use the back exit, sneak in, and then watch four or five movies back to back without paying.
