I wanted to make a comment. I am a connoisseur of the Zupas soup….. I actually have to eat there bc of health reasons… I have eaten at all the Zupas, every location, this location is very special! The employees, the young adults , the managers are fantastic! They are friendly , energetic, fun, they make great food & always great service. They care about their customers…to me that is very important & nonexistent with most companies nowadays … most forget Customer Service, but not Zuppas. They care…… The employees, young adults, managers are fantastic, friendly, they keep it very clean. Their food is freshly made, superb, also correctly made, that’s important …It is a great store & a great group of people! Yesterday I opened a new bk account. Forgot to transfer funds, to main account. Been moving, chaotic, lost 100$ cash at prior store, went to order my soup, was short 3$. I was embarrassed & felt stupid & mad at myself. They made me feel appreciated, not stupid…. Then a very special employee, who is always friendly & smiles, & she knows my soup, a great person… bought my soup with her money…Not the stores… I offered a tip of 6 $, or smaller soup, she wld not accept, she was very sweet & kind, I am greatly appreciative. I’m just so glad that there are great compassionate people in our world, young people who care, the small acts of kindness makes a better world. Then we all pass that on, it gives me hope & appreciation for all of us… That touched my heart to know they cared, and did a kind jesture for others… they are all good people in this Zupas each one of them , great people who care for others & eachother. She did not have to do that. But it shows you the compassion, kindness in this special group of young adults. I wanted to say thank you to all of them for their hard work, continued kindness in preparing great food & service! I hope their owner knows what a great team they have… I would recommend all people to eat there then get to know the people that you interact with… I rate the food, store & service a 10, in my book! I’m very appreciative to interact with these kids when I get my soup… You walk out with a smile, good food & great service!! I just wanted to say thank you! Keep up the good work, all of you, each one of you is fantastic....
Read moreI have been to the Zupas in Draper and American Fork many times and have had a very pleasant experience and the food is always delicious. The employees are very friendly and even rush to open the door when we walk in. However EVERY TIME we visit the District location in South Jordan we have problems. It ruined Zupas for me.
First time we went there a few months ago I ordered a Honey Bacon Club and combo'd it with the Roasted Red Pepper and Lobster soup. It is my favorite soup and have had it more than twenty times since being introduced to Zupas. This particular night the soup tasted watered down and maybe there was half the flavor there usually is. I took it back to the counter and spoke to the cashier who got the manager. The manager treated me like I was stupid and told me the soup is the same every day. They don't sell a lot of that soup and so that's why it tasted watered down. I GET THIS SOUP EVERY TIME! And this is the first time it tasted different. He wouldn't even taste the soup to check it. I, the customer, was wrong and he was right which made me want to ask for a refund. The cashier actually suggested switching the soup out so that's what we did but by the time I returned to my table my husband and son had already finished their food. Worst experience and customer service by the manager no less.
We tried that location again last week. The food was ok but while we were in line (it was at 4pm so not busy at all) we made a few changes to our order right after we made a decision not even a few seconds later and the lady who was helping us rolled her eyes at us and sighed like she was irritated with us because we weren't sure what our son would prefer. Then when we were paying I added a brownie onto our order after my husband told her we didn't want dessert. I am pregnant I am allowed to make an addition to my dinner if I want to but she again gave us attitude. You would think she would be happy we were giving Zupas more money by increasing our order.
I have been in customer service for over ten years and I would have been fired or had severe disciplinary action if I treated my customers like that. Between the joke of a manager and the lady with attitude I will NEVER go back to Zupas. There are far more restaurants who value...
Read moreIs it the District or just Cafe Zupas in general?
Where to begin? Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me. Fool me thrice? I won’t get fooled again.
I now see a trend happening at Cafe Zupas in South Jordan at the District. I hope it’s isolated to this location but I wonder.
The servers seem to have confused “efficiency” with their particular assignment rather than efficiency and quality of the overall product. Each station worked to get their portion of food out super quick but there seemed to be a log jam as they either gathered the food together or at the point of sail. The result was stacks of salad, sandwiches, and soup clogging up the work space and getting mixed up lost and stale.
Soup - COLD Sandwiches - COLD Salad - WILTING Kids Meals - Literally lost.
My wife had to instruct the worker on what belonged in her power bowl. She didn’t believe that sugar snap peas belonged in the curry bowl. It was written on the board! My soup and sandwich literally sat on the dessert counter for 20mins before I could pay and sit down. Of the two kids meals we ordered: 1- the grilled cheese and tomato basil pasta soup had to be remade because they were gone. 2- the chicken strips had to be remade because they were cold.
The lady in front of us when asked what she ordered responded, “ I had that cold soup right there.” The worker took the bowl, dumped it back into the soup vat and re-scooped the soup back into the bowl. What a mess.
Could the salad, sandwiches, and soup just sat in their vats and individual component bins unmade until needed rather than in the work space getting warm or...
