Los Mexicanos — Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

This was my second option for Mexican food but should have been my first! The food was SO tasty! I'm vegetarian and they could make anything on their menu vegetarian. I got the veggie fajitas and omg they were the best! Hands down I've never had veggies fajitas like that before, the flavor was to die for. Very authentic taste, agua de Jamaica was very good, not super sweet and very pronounced taste 😋 my friend got the chicken burrito, he said it was delicious and very filling. I don't recommend the chips and salsa, just not my favorite salsa or quality of chips. Order a different appetizer or just jump straight to the entree, they were very filling either way. I have out-of-state plates, and an out-of-state phone number. I was definitely treated like I was just another tourist. The funny thing is, I am a third generation native to the North Shore. It’s too bad that anyone whether a tourist or local would be spoken to the way I was spoken to tonight. Furthermore, the gentleman who barked at me for walking in the restaurant as he was mopping, proceeded to package my food without washing his hands. I’ll be calling the health department on Monday. This was our last stop before leaving Lake Tahoe. Decided to have just tacos. We ordered about 10 tacos. Also ordered some guacamole.

Loved the chorizo sausage meat.

Also loved the fact that they have a condiments bar where I could take as much as I wanted. I love a lot of onions with my tacos.

The remaining tacos were okay.
