Worst experience ever. We called ahead and asked what time we could arrive to rent a boat for an hour, how long it would take to prep and for training and Callie said they had a strict 4:30pm arrival deadline for boats for the day and that training would be quick so that we could have the boat back by their 5:30 deadline. We planned around that and we arrived at 4:04 and the manager and Callie then said their cutoff was 4:00pm, that training would take at least 15 mins, and that they needed to have boats back by 5:00pm. We explained we had talked to Callie, who was present- she looked mortified and avoided conversation with us- and that she had told us differently. He kept cutting us off, wouldn’t let us speak, was condescending and patronizing to us (all 5 young Latina women), insinuated we were lying even when presented with facts and refused to let us rent a boat (even though we were only 4 mins after their second subjective “deadline”). Clearly, internal team communication is lacking and external communication is even weaker. Terrible customer service and managerial leadership. Unfortunate because Tahoe is truly a...
Read moreWe parasailed with Ski Run Marina. The experience gets only three stars because we only got about five minutes up in the air. We expected longer than that especially given we paid $95 each for it. We were on the boat with a large family and it felt like the operators were rushing through to get us all up and down quickly. We were out on the boat for about 40 minutes total, and that includes four parasail rides plus all transfer/travel time. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to parasail though and the operators were very skilled and it felt safe. However it was very poor value for money, as again, we only got about five minutes of...
Read moreI would like to say I loved parasailing here, but I didn't even get to go on it. After waiting for about an hour for the boat, it came back broken. All further sailing was stopped and we received the refund right away. The company offers many other water sports so we wanted to try the jet skis instead. We were told the price for that was about $30 more than the price for parasailing. You would think that after making customers wait around (and lose precious time for nothing during a vacation), they would be considerate and try to compensate for the parasailing problem. My take? When I return to Tahoe I will not be using...
