Gift Shop at Lake Tahoe — Local services in South Lake Tahoe

We have stopped at this gift shop before and the first time we loved it! But this time the prices were super high, so we let our kids pick out a couple of what I thought were, cheap things. To my surprise, the total came to $70! I even said, $70 for what?! I thought that I had just miss calculated ,but it kept bothering me all night so this morning, I looked at my receipt and the lady had overcharged us buy a lot! She charged us $3.99 and 4.99 for stickers that were marked $.99 cents - $2.99, we bought a total of 4 stickers and she even left one out of our bag. I will never shop here again! They are horrible with their prices and if I had paid more attention then I would never had let her get away with overcharging me. I wish I would have paid with my card so I could dispute the charges with my bank. If you choose to shop here double check the cost of items and watch the lady at the register closely. ...

Yes, the prices are higher than Wal*Mart, because guess what, this is a family-owned business trying to make ends meet. It is a smaller shop and can definitely get crowded on a nice sunny Summer Saturday! We received excellent customer service and was happy with the items that we purchased. The cashier was friendly and genuinely warm. I recommend this store for Lake Tahoe...
