Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in South Lyon

Started to use HH as goto pizza option, and mostly found it decent. On April 14th at 7 p.m., I ordered a large deep dish, tried using the app, but found it confusing so called in my order. The man who took it was rude and condescending, using a tone of disdain when I asked the flavored crust options. I ordered pepp., sausage, half shrooms, half onion. Opening the pizza I noticed it was misshapen, rounded like the maker hadn't taken time to properly fit the dough to the pan. This cause a majority of the edges to not be cooked. On the onion side there were two nuggets of sausage and a few smaller crumbles, ingredients were not only scarce but haphazardly thrown mostly in the center, minimal cheese, large portions completely bare, and for some reason soggy. It was, without question, the worst pizza I have ever encountered, and completely inedible. Will definitely return to Jets, pay the few dollars more...drive the extra distance, and enjoy a proper pizza. Perhaps it was the man making them, who I also believe to be the one who took my order, but I don't recommend anybody rolling the dice on this sorry excuse for a pizza place, especially with so many options...

Hungry Howie's in South Lyon. I was trying to order on line and could not find the the Three Cheeser Pepperoni Pleaser pizza in their menu. I wanted to order on line as there was a coupon for free cheeser bread if you ordered on line. I called and asked if they still offered this type pizza, put me on hold (you would think if you were answering phones you would actually have somewhat a good base knowledge of what the hell it is you offer at your store)....nope. Anyways they came back and said yep the do still have it, do you want to order it. I said well I wanted to order it online as they offer a free cheeser bread and the guy comes back, and this is no kidding downright serious, he say's, "well, do you still want to order the pizza", not, well we can offer this for you over the phone because we were too stupid and ignorant to offer it online next to our ASIAN pizza-huh, ASIAN pizza?!?!?!? I asked if I could get the free offer and they stated, "no"-and click went the phone line. Great customer service Hungry Howie's in South Lyon. No wonder that downtown is dying with businesses...

This place has always been a rather low-quality Hungry Howie's (we used to get pizza from here pretty frequently years ago), but a year or two ago (don't remember when exactly), I got a pizza from here that tasted absolutely rancid. Genuinely, putting it in my mouth made me feel like something was very wrong. For me, that has NEVER happened with any other pizza. I've had pizza I've disliked, even pizza I couldn't finish. But I've never had pizza that made my body scream at me to spit it out like that.

I threw that pizza away and actually complained about this using whatever channels Hungry Howie's makes available (I think that goes to corporate, don't remember what it was for sure), but never got a response back, so I'm going to guess they probably didn't do anything about it. Genuinely, after that experience, I'd rather order pizza from literally anywhere else. I know the problem was location-specific given that after that experience I ate pizza from another Hungry Howie's that was delicious, way better than pizza from this...
